This guy. What is with his shirt? Why does he wear a blue shirt with a white collar and white cuffs? This is an 8:00 AM lecture, not some 1980s cigar smoked trading floor. Why can't he just wear an all white or all blue shirt? I really hope I don't need to take him for BUSI 407. Just glad I didn't take this class as a freshman. Random attendance.

Interesting and cool guy but not a great lecturer. His class is graded on attendance 10%, midterm 40%, and final 50%. Does random things in class like show movies, talk about his family, and fanboy over basketball. Does not explain accounting concepts and define terms well to people who have no experience in financial accounting.

He's very kind and caring. Just show up to class for attendance and cram the weekend before the midterm and final and you'll have an A

If you're able to teach yourself, and just want a professor who will slightly guide you in the right direction in class, CJ is the prof for you. Otherwise, CJ is not the prof for you. Spends most of class watching movies, taking pics w/students, and making horribly cringey and out of touch sexist remarks (probably to be expected in BUSI in general)

As a person, CJ is great. He keeps class interesting by going off on a tangent very often. As a professor, however, he's not the best; it gets hard to keep up with what he's doing if you're even a little bit confused. Be prepared to teach yourself the material, but once you've got it it's not too bad.

CJ is hilarious and hard not to like, but he isn't the best professor. I felt like I had to teach myself everything in this class even though I went to lecture everyday. Luckily, there is no real homework, so I had plenty of time to study. The class starts to feel hard towards the end, but he curves the final so much it's basically an easy A.

CJ is a really good professor and knows his stuff. I never really went to class because I met with a tutor before the midterm and final which made the tests very easy. However, he will randomly take attendance which counts 10% of your grade. Midterm is 40% and Final is 50%. The content I learned in this course will definately benefit me. Easy A

Horrible professor. He's very repetitive and doesn't explain a lot of the jargon he uses which makes a lot of lectures very confusing. I didn't like how he wasted so much time in lectures taking pics with students and going off topic. His tests were unlike problems done in class and weighted 40-50% each. Would not recommend.

CJ is a nice man but not the greatest teacher. I thought the class was relatively difficult but maybe that's because I didn't really learn all the material until the night before. I would definitely recommend scheduling office hours with him because he's a lot clearer there. I also didn't buy the textbook but you definitely should to do well.

CJ is AMAZING!! He is sooo funny! Just know that after the first midterm you will probably have to teach a good bit of it to yourself, so don't get too far behind. Regardless, CJ is hilarious and I really loved the class.

he's a cool guy but i don't think that he's a great teacher. he gets distracted a lot and talks about stories or pop culture referenes. attendance is mandatory but u really have to teach the class to yourself.

CJ is the most entertaining professor you will ever take. He makes even the most mundane accounting lectures interesting. His class is also fairly easy. Two exams and attendance are all your graded on. If you do the practice problems he gives you in the course pack, and pay attention in class, you will do fine.

CJ is a great guy. He clearly knows a lot about Accounting and loves his job. You will probably learn just as much about his life/life advice than you will about accounting. The class is deceptively easy up until the first midterm, but after that, you would really benefit if you did work outside of class (read the textbook) to prepare for the final

CJ is a real one yall. There is a course pack you are supposed to buy and if you know how to do the practice questions then you'll be set up to do well on the exams. CJ will announce during class what questions will be on the exams also. If you can take him, do it!

What a goofy guy. I was torn between just wanting him to talk about accounting and thoroughly enjoying his distractions. Overall I believe I learned a lot about accounting. Be prepared to move fast through examples. Come prepared, because he doesn't explain topics, but goes through examples. Not a hard class. Easy to skip, but better not to skip.

If you go to class and take the time to understand each topic, you are guaranteed a good grade. It was hard to get to the B-school at 8AM, but I knew that not going wouldn't lead to a good result. He took attendance three or four times in the whole semester. Don't pay for the expensive tutor, you can do it! I did!

I had CJ for BUSI 102 and it was awesome. He is a very personable guy and will welcome you into the Business School, which is valuable for first years (like me) who take BUSI 102! The class is pretty easy and the exams are not bad if you just study (I got a 100 for the first one). Just do the work and pay attention & attend class even if it is 8 AM

Kind heart and hard to not like as a character, but I personally did not like his teaching style- you'll just watch him explain something multiple times in the same way. Reinforcement is good, but can be a problem if you don't understand it to begin with. I wish he made better visual presentations, but at least he will post lecture videos!!

C.J. is an awesome professor and truly an asset to the Carolina family. You're going to learn a lot more than just accounting in his class, and he's going to try his best to keep you engaged and happy. If you use the coursepack, do the readings, and practice the tests you'll do fine.
