I was so interested in the field of biological anthropology prior to taking this course, but have no interest after taking. The lecture is confusing and only partially applicable to what you're tested on, the professor digresses into personal drama way too often (even crying in class?), and students are given coloring books in lieu of adult content

Teacher is nice, kind of strict. Try your best not to be late & if you leave in the middle of class, even to use the bathroom, you can't come back in. Colorings take a lot of work; don't do at the last minute. I chose to copy the coloring book pgs. Felt insulted when she asked me to bring the book in. She thought I was copying pages already colored

She was very nice and friendly. Knew her material extrememly well and has a passion for teaching. She was very strict about time don't even think about being late to class or leaving early. Attendance is very important and the material wasn't very hard but it was a lot of information and grades are based soley on 3 tests.

I went into to this class thinking this class was going to be my easiest of the semester. I was wrong, A&P was easier than this class. No study guides, no help, and the teacher (though nice) was really hard to follow. Most lectures had nothing to do with the material in the book or tests. Tough class+tough tests+not helpful teacher+coloring book=B

The grade in this class is based primarily off test grades. There are 3 very difficult tests that are comprised of ANY material from lectures, the text book, AND coloring book. She gives NO study guides, making passing the test difficult or even knowing what to study. Because there was so much material to cover, this class took a A LOT of time.

Great lectures, but that's where the fun ends kids...She will warn you that her tests are rigorous and you had better heed her word on this. This GER class took more of my time in study prep for her exams than ANY of my classes that were degree focused. This class has no prerequisites which is misleading - I suggest some BIO experience. Good luck

Nice woman, very passionate about her career. She's easy to talk to and is very willing to help. Attend her lectures and take notes as well as read the assigned chapters. There is a coloring book as well that helps as a study guide as well as fluff points. STUDY! Exams are not easy but if you've reviewed and kept up with the class you should be fin

Lots of notes, but if you take them you should be fine. Hosts a weekly "lunch at the Cuddy to BS about science" thing in addition to her office hours. She's one of the teachers that require a specific scantron sheet for her tests (you have to buy). Tests are hard, but if you attend, study, and pay attention, you can easily pull an A in this class.

Very fun lectures, lots of info to take in. Take good notes cause they will do you well on the tests. No homework or papers, only 3 exams that make up your grade. They are hard but it you come to class and take good notes then you should do fine. She is fun but strict about her time. Don't waste it. She is simply awesome. Will always recommend!

She is crystal clear in what she teaches but as far as what will be on the test you will have no clue. She has no remorse for any natural or technological issues that arise. She expects too much and has no consideration for the fact that she is NOT the only professor.

Her grading is made up of three tests. you fail the tests, you fail the class. I don't know about you but I appreciate teachers when they TAKE attendence, give homework, and test you on the reading. I studied long and hard for her tests, but never got more than a C. all she does is lecture and her tests are SORT-OF relative to her lectures.

I'd taken Prof. Hanson for a previous class and was not impressed, but my opinion of her has drastically improved. I didn't do well in the class, but it's not anything she did. She'll go over material as many times as needed to make sure the class understands and offers tons of ec. Passionate about material. Nice to students.

She's a very animated lecturer, and even if you don't have an interest in the subject, it makes you think about your own lifestyle and heritage. The tests require studying, but if you show up to class and take notes, you'll do fine. She does fall behind in subject matter quite often. Very lenient and gives tons of extra-credit opportunities.

Her voice gets really annoying, and she acts like a hyper 8 year old. She tries to entertain you like 5 year olds but then does not give any information n how to pass her tests besides generalities that can be pages of reading....grrr

I took her for Peoples and Cultures of Scandinavia. Beware, the title is deceiving. By the time class was over we had just reached the Viking Age. Spent way to much time on prehistoric people, only b/c thats her specialty. Class was pretty much incomprehensible and mind-numbingly boring, but the prof just doesn't care.

Not a very helpful teacher. This lady teaches only a small portion of what you are tested on. It could just be my learning style, but I would recommend a more participative teacher.

Chris is awesome! This class was pretty easy. Her lectures reiterated info from the book in a more interesting and memorable way, so it's a good idea to go to class even though it's not mandatory. The only thing I didn't like was the coloring book assignment which is extremely time consuming and boring. I would have prefered writing a huge paper.

This class sounded really interesting until she started to teach it. She uses slides and terminology that are not from the texts, and/or conflicts with them, and often is not posted online. The "quizzes" are long, accumulative, and horrendous. Oh yeah, and beware of the non-human bones that she likes to throw in the fragment identifications.
