Not as bad in terms of her being approachable to talk to . But I would agree on everyone that she is a arduous grader and only accepts problems done EXACTLY her way and will critique about the small details in your process. If you want a gauge of how she is, she is a more caring version of Professor Kossawatta if you have taken him before

Ms. Marsh will not accept ANY variations of the methods presented in class, no matter how correct they are. Do not take this professor unless you enjoy being talked down to and losing points when you don't fit inside her cookie cutter. I was told by another PHY201 professor that "It's her way or the highway". Very harsh grader.

Her homework, teaching method, and tests are completely different than any other physics prof at the school. Her grading policy is abysmal. Using the right paper is worth more than right answers. I had already passed the class at a different school and was just taking it again for a refresher, but I ended up being more confused than when I started.

WORST PROFESSOR EVER General physics and her physics are two totally different thing. She won't grade your work unless its done in her way. I would suggest Harper to provide 1 credit hour class in the Freshman year (Specific Techniques - 101) just for her class because you will get less points for details compare to your Physics-201 concepts.

In her class, it was very difficult to follow along with what she was trying to convey. The material was there, but it felt like she was trying to cram material that should have taken more time to explain. The purpose of a lecture is to have the students leave with a general idea of how to do the work. I feel that she could improve on this point.

Marsh is a good teacher. The reality is that physics courses are where a lot of people experience a pretty sharp increase in the difficulty of their classes and as it turns out is a common place for people to hit a wall.

Prof. Marsh is a really amazing lecturerfor physics, she explains all the concepts really well. There is alot of homework and pop quizzes, but it helps to solidify the material. Unfortunately, webassign is used for hw (worst platform ever) and she is the luckiest grader I have ever come across. Otherwise, solid prof to learn physics concepts from.

Professor Marsh expressed the first day of class that her Rate my Professor rating was low. Unfortunately, this rating was reflective. In short, Marsh provides adequate lecture presentations, yet is extremely finicky about formatting for grading. Most frustrating, she often forgot assignments and due dates, yet she isn't graded on her own mistakes

She is ridiculous and is not fair at all. She expects everyone to be perfect and everything has to be done her way or no way at all. She doesn't realize people have other obligations and responsibilities. It's way too hard for a gen ed class for no reason. Avoid her at all costs

One of the toughest teacher that I have ever had. It becomes ridiculous sometimes when she takes point out of the tests/labs/ homeworks for really minor errors. She explains the materials well, but that doesn't help at all when the test and the quizzes are hard, or when she is a tough grader. I don't recommend taking her class because It is j pain.

.Even though a lot of people say shes super tough, she is still an excellent professor. She cares about her students and if you dont understand anything, meet with her outside of class and shell def help you. Mechanics itself isnt an easy class so Marsh prepares you to make sure you understand the material really well.

Was a really tough grader, took off random points even if you had the answer correct. Otherwise, she was a good professor that knew what she was doing. She doesn't curve at the end, but does give an extra credit project. If you are typically a good student, you will do well as long as you put in the effort.

You'll have a good grade in the class up until the first test. She grades very hard on them. Make sure you do your best on everything else to help compensate. (Tests are worth 40% of grade and final is 20%). So much homework in this class, as if she thinks it our only class. If you have a choice, chose another professor.

Physics 201 is a hard course. You will have to spend at least 10 hours a week in order to obtain good grades in the class. Professor Marsh is a very hard grader, but there is a point when she takes points off on something. I would recommend doing the suggested book problems that she gives you. Tests are hard, but study and you will succeed.

This teacher is tough. But it's a physics class. If you're going to take a class at this level, it should be assumed that you're going to take it seriously.. Which is all she expects. It doesn't matter how smart or dumb you are, she can tell if you care. If you really want to learn physics, not just memorize the steps, take her. Plus she's nice!

She likes to talk more about her life than physics. You're gonna learn a lot about her dogs. She's also very stuck in her ways and makes you solve things her way, even if there's an easier way.

Assignments not clear at all, come from four different sources. You are never sure what is due when. Very picky grader who will take point off for the littlest detail.
