First test hard since geometry was unfamilar. So the material can be difficult so go to his OH for HW help, i did that and almost got 100points. asking questions in class is essential. Before each test has a review, which helps. Curves final grade!!. Expected a B- but got A- . above 35/40 on tests gets A, gives bonus points with extra question

Took his Combinatorics class... Hardest math class I've ever taken... But Prof Lenart was understanding that we have other stuff going on and we're all trying here. If it's clear you're trying, he'll meet you halfway. Weekly hw assignments, 3 tests and a final. Great professor, awful subject.

Combinatorics is one of those beasts that is just tough, any way you spit it. Prof. Lenart makes things reasonable. First test had a 30-something pt. curve, but got better as the semester went on. Lectures are organized well, and he has fair expectations. Super patient, super knowledgeable, and helpful if ya need it, the material is just sucky.

Prof. Lenart grades abstract algebra super fairly--35% homework, 40% for three tests, and 25% final. His lectures can be a dense, but he always holds "revisions" the class before any exam--and clearly lays out exactly what topics it'll be on. Probably one of my fav math professors at UAlbany--you take out what you put in. Attendance taken in class.

Prof. Lenart is one of my favorite professors....very clear and helpful, clearly accomplished in his field and with a lot to offer. A quiet professor, but definitely one worth getting to know.

This is quite possibly the worst professor I have ever had. He has a fetish for the Greek letter mew. He speaks English fine, but doesn't seem to understand it when someone asks a question. Avoid him at all costs.
