I had Persaud for an online class aesthetics in Television, I really enjoyed the class, discussion board topics were really fun and sparked my interest. I usually dont like writing papers because Ive never been good at it but the papers assigned were enjoyable to write. Overall I really enjoyed the class and would take another with Persaud.

Comment:

Fairly easy online class, but horribly run. We never followed the syllabus (it said 15 weekly discussions, but only 7 were posted irregularly). Discussion topics were random. No feedback. Never posted grades. Assignments would sometimes get posted 24 hours before they were due. It's obvious Persaud didn't really care to actually run this class.

Persaud is a nice guy who works well with his students. He'll cater to whatever helps you learn best and change around the syllabus to suit you. He tends to go off on tangents and talk about random stuff, so often he doesn't cover everything we're supposed to learn in class. Easy grader but he WILL lower your grade if you use your phone in class.

Prof. Persaud is a great guy and a passionate professor. He obviously loves what he teaches and shows it. His actual teaching and time management skills aren't amazing. Rambles on about test/HW formats A LOT, almost as much as class material. Easy GE, might wanna take it with someone else if it's your major. Overall, very funny/enjoyable class.

Persaud is a great professor. He always keeps class interesting, and is very fair with his assignments. There are a few blackboard postings, a midterm, a presentation and a final. It's a fairly easy class but fun to go to. I am a comm major but it would be an easy GE too. I would definitely take another class with Persaud!

All online; didn't bother to teach the class at all; instructions and deadlines conflicted; didn't give us anything but reading for weeks, then dumped a huge assignment on us a week before the end of the semester; never posted grades, never knew if I was doing OK, didn't respond to notes for days or was arrogant and snitty when he did. A waste!

Jerry is so friendly and helpful.His class is interesting and he obviously really enjoys what he teaches which is always a bonus.He tends to ramble alot and is a bit scatty but he's still a really good teacher and very helpful and positive.I would recommend his classes.

Intro to Media crit is a good class. he gives you the questions hes going to ask you on the test in a review sheet, hight accomidating, the journal at the end is a breeze if you know what youre taking about, hes impressed with the littlest things, take his class if you want to get an A and if you enjoy talking about media

Instead of teaching a class, he should just write a livejournal. He spews out facts randomly and half of them are inaccurate or he's just uttering it out of context to prove his point. Best to either not pay attention or take his lectures with large spoonfuls of salt. Also, it's a good idea to bring a laptop; Too many notes.

He just talks for the entire class period. He is extremely knowledgeable and certainly knows what he is talking about, but it is very hard to follow his train of thought. His lectures go in every direction. His accent sometimes makes him hard to understand. Made a mockery of the class and the University on the last day of class.

Nice guy, very intelligent, not boring most of the time. He is really smart and very educated but i feel those facts went to his head. Our group presentations were intresting to do, but they were too long and very boring to listen to--thats all we did for the last few weeks. I feel neutral about taking another class with him. He is very knowledgable but I did catch him a few times saying stuff that was inaccurate. He's pretty cool or at least seems cool. His class seems really easy until you get your grade at the end of the semester. I got 100 on the midterm and felt like I did alright on the project and final. Then he gave me my worst grade of my New Paltz career. ??
