Sweetest and nicest professor I have ever had. She is comedic and understanding, always brightens my day to attend her class. I feel as though she passes her love for the deaf community onto her students in a beautiful way. A person worth knowing!

Professor Wittman is awesome! I'm not even finished taking her class yet, but she deserves the rating. Her teaching style is fabulous, except her drawing skills are lacking, but she is very animated when teaching and easy to understand. If you do the homework and watch the DVD's you'll pass the exams because she basis her teaching via the book.

Love this professor! I switched my major because of her! Great teacher, makes learning fun and easy! Will gladly go over stuff you don't understand. Tests are great! Be prepared to pay attention and no talking in class! Which is great!

Such a good teacher. Very clear, and helpful with learning ASL. You need to be silent when she's signing, so if you have a problem shutting your mouth, your going to be picked on by ANY asl teacher. She's one of the best, if your interested in learning ASL, start with Darlene.

i've had her teach me.. cindy and jeff... Jeffs my favorite, he teaches you the best,he's the tuffest, u learn more from him because he's deaf... Cindy love her too sooooo funny learn alot easy and hard but really good class.. this teachers really nice i like her but i didn't learn as much easy class though.

This is the best ASL teacher I have ever met. She is very easy to learn from and is very understanding. As long as you listen and stay quite during class you'll do great but if you talk you will never learn sign. PERFECT teacher. I will take her for ALL my remaining asl classes.

Fun class. Make sure you stay on top of the lectures, because if you fall behind it will be hell. Last semester, her father was combating an illness but eventually passed away, but she was still very professional about her job and did her best to keep it out of the class. Take her.

Wonderful teacher. Absolutely incredible. Loves teaching, really cares about her students(even though she can't remember their names xD). I enjoyed her class very much and I'm diffenetely taking her again next semester. If you want to learn all you can, show up everyday, but it's up to you.

I had Darlene for a teacher in 1980 and she is even better this time! I always have fun while learning in her class, and even if you don't understand sign language, you can figure out what she is saying, and you will learn and remember the signs. She is a great teacher!!

Darlene is great. Scatterbrained at times, but you have to love her. She is really passionate about teaching & her main goal is to make sure the students fully grasp the concept, not about grades. Don't get hung up on the syllabus, you'll benefit so much more by listening to her lectures.ILY!
