Comment:
David's lecture is often confusing, he talks too much about theorem but he doesnt clarify these theorem very clearly. And he often talks randomly, sometimes it's this theory and sometimes it's other theories. Also, his homework is too much and has little relationship with his lecture. Overall, It is not a good course to study probability.

While Caraballo is overall a good guy and I can see how some people would like his class, it wasn't good for a popular prerequisite course. He gave long-winded lectures on just math theory and did not have concrete examples. It was a very difficult way to learn, and the assignments were confusing. It is not your typical math class. Would not take.

Comment:
Caraballo is a really caring prof and will spend lots of time with students, but we did not cover much "normal" calc 3 topics. He loves proofs and theoretical math that appear in only upper-level math courses. I would strongly not recommend unless you want to be a math major. Lectures are boring and marginally helpful, and tests are very nitpicky.

Comment:
Dr. Caraballo is the worst math professor I've had in a while. He has not taught any actual multivariable calculus this semester, and every class period is just him reading off notes that we are told to read for homework. The tests are filled with random true/false that are irrelevant to what we have been taught. Hoping he improves for the future.

He is perhaps the fairest grader I have ever met because he places an emphasis on growth instead of proficiency. I struggled with the first few exams, but I worked really hard and did well on the final. My final grade reflected this improvement, and I did very well in the class even though I did not expect to considering the first exams.

He really emphasized building genuine understanding. The man lives for mathematics and for teaching. One of the nicest and most inspiring human beings I have ever met. Anyone who loves math or who wants to build deep understanding should take a class with Prof. Caraballo!

Professor Caraballo obviously really cares about his students and his grades. He curves his exams, but with some system that doesn't make sense. Lectures were pretty boring but were good to supplement some of the reading. Could just as easily teach the material to yourself though because he has some detailed textbook notes that he writes himself

Professor Caraballo is my favorite professor I've had so far at Georgetown- take him if you get the chance! He cares so much about all of his students and devotes hours and hours to meeting with students outside of class time. The class subject was difficult but he is a very fair teacher who clearly has a passion for teaching.

Professor Caraballo made Multivariable a lot easier to understand. He gave a decent amount of HW, and his tests were pretty difficult. However, as long as you studied hard and paid attention, it was very likely to do well. Also, he was very nice and tried to help us out as much as he could.

Caraballo is one of the most influential professors I have ever had. He will respond to any email, even if you have a million questions, he will answer ever single one. He will also stay late after class to meet with you to make sure that you understand everything. Go to recitation and meet with him so he knows you, and he will help you do well

I've never had a professor more dedicated to teaching a class. He often tells us how he can't sleep the night before a test because he's so nervous about making it fair for everyone. He grades everything himself and puts an outrageous amount of time and effort into teaching the class. Though he can sometimes ramble, he's very nice and helpful.

Best math professor I've had at Georgetown. Clear like none other. Makes his students appreciate the discipline of mathematics as a whole and want to take more. Course notes are very useful, homework is purposeful, 2 out of the 3 TAs are very helpful. Multivariable Calculus sounds intimidating but he really broke it down for us. Highly recommended.

With no exaggeration - one of the most dedicated, passionate and inspirational people to be teaching Mathematics. Not a mere lecturer, but a true teacher. Takes the time to discuss, individually or as a group, with students about what they are learning. Genuinely cares and demonstrates clear and obvious knowledge and expertise in his field.

Hands down one of the best professors I've ever had. He's extremely passionate about the subject (probability) and it reflects in his lectures. He is willing to go WAY out of his way to help you. He'll answer your emails at 4am with detailed answers to your questions. He provides the notes and they're incredible. Wish he taught every math class..

Best math professor ever! I've never met anyone more willing to help and wanting everyone to succeed. Take your time on tests. I stayed 6 (yes, 6) hours for the first exam and he didn't mind a bit, just did his own work there. Lots of hw and you need to be very thorough, but he gives you everything you need to do well on them and tests. Recommend!

He loves math and his passion shows in every lecture. He also loves his students and wants every single student to master the concepts and get an A. That being said, his assignments are difficult and can take a long time, but his lectures are very clear. My only complaint is that he went too in depth for some unimportant and easy concepts.

Professor Caraballo makes a very difficult and mysterious subject as clear and concrete as possible. Highly recommended for Linear Algebra! Although there's a lot of homework, that's what makes studying for the tests not that difficult. Very reasonable tests - only 4 or 5 problems that resemble what was in the homework. Take take take!

Though he wants everyone to get an A, he gives way too much work. WAY too much. I mean i worked late two nights a week to keep up. Do not take him, if you like sleep. Please understand also, I'm a math major and love doing math but I should have dropped this class.

Math 502. If you combine passion for Math and passion for teaching, you end up with Prof Caraballo. Sometimes he makes me forget about the 4 thousand dollars I paid for this course...(sometimes).
