let me start by saying this class is very challenging. In other words, VERY HARD. In this Class, Algebra and Trig are the foundations. Test are extremely hard. LOTS OF HW. however, surprisingly the final is very simple and easy, that is if you study. If you are not good in trig, you should consider taking another professor that would explain it bet

If you don't like a lot of homework, don't take him, and if you don't do it you won't do good on the test. he grades test on a curve. is willing to help in his office, but you need to show him that you are putting the effort in to understand.

He's a pretty good teacher. Homework is due on the day of the test, we had five tests in the Fall, a final, and no midterm. He tells you everything that's going to be on the test so there are no surprises. Get yourself a graphing calculator and ALWAYS use it to check your answers! Take him, you'll survive.

from a scale of one to teen ill give him a 7.5. hes a good teacher, and hes very helpfull. u dont have to do the home work but i highly reccomend u do it. th reason is, the test can be trick some times( there is always one word problem). if ur going to take his class be commited

Good things, Mr. Westberg gives you a sheet showing all of the homework assignments for the whole class and the test dates. You can go to class and ignore his lectures, (which are actually pretty helpful), and just teach yourself the content in the book and do the hw, and ask him anything you have questions about.No surprises on tests. Take this!

This teacher does not have a great teaching style. He will do questions on the board and leave out steps and expect you to know it. Tests are really hard. He gives a lot of homework. Went to his office and he wasn't supportive of helping me out at all. I got an A in the end, but i dreaded having to go to his class.

he is one of the best math teachers still left in El Camino so make sure u take him..he is a good teacher. funny.. although some students dont think so...like those who step out of class in the middle of lectures and ask questions he has already answer.. and still expect a good grade..please lol

Very arrogant! Makes you feel stupid if you don't understand a particular problem. Not helpful or clear in his teaching methods. you can get an answer right on a test and still have it marked wrong for not using his solving methods which, as i said are very vague. i went to tutoring in the L.R.C and M-Sci building and still got bad grades on tests

Mr. Westburg is a great teacher. I took his math 40 and math 70 class, and really enjoyed both. I wish he taught all the other math classes i had to and have to take. His class can be very easy as long as you come to class, keep up with the homework, and ask lots of questions for the problems you dont understand. Take his class, he's great!!

he is a very intellectual prof. he teaches very well, however, on the tests, he tends to mark off points out of u even though u got the right answer. you really need to show your solution and right your answer the "right" way. ex. u cant write Vertical asymtote= 1, u shud right x=1. u need to come to class evryday, do hw and study hard to pass.

He is a great teacher you, but you must attend class regularly do the homework in order to pass the class. Need to spend alot of quality time doing homework, and must take notes because he expects you to the work the way he has been teaching you throughout the course.
