very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the subject. attendance is not mandatory but i would recommend going he does not put up slides, but the information is straight from the readings. the quizzes are easy and the midterm is not hard the paper due at the end is graded very hard though. i enjoyed the half that tandy taught!

I took Mythology. The only grades are three exams, a paper, and two sets of journals. Journals only help your grade; if you do them you get a 93. You absolutely have to study for the exams. Notes are usually on study blue, so I never went to class. I worked really hard on my paper and got a C. :/

Possible one of the worst teachers I have EVER had. Do not ever expect a response from him he is the most useless teacher that teaches here.

He assigns everyone who completes his journals the same grade regardless of quality or effort. If you ask him about it, he will offer to grade yours individually and will do so harshly. Course is dull, Professor is a jerk. Take something else for your arts&humanities.

Dr. Tandy is very knowledgeable and passionate about his material, but it is VERY boring. I skipped at least once a week and I still ended up with a B in this class, just make sure you go to the scheduled quizzes. When you are done with this class you will realize just how pointless itwas, but it is a relatively easy way to get an art credit.

liked this professor. He was funny, made class fun some days. The quizzes are hard. The class is hard. Really didnt care much about the topic. but compared to the other teacher for the semester that taught the 2nd half of this class, this guy was awesome.

This guy is sorta difficult to rate. The stuff that he teaches is super interesting. I'm not sure if he's all that great at covering the material though. Lectures are usually pretty boring. His tests are very specific and in most people's opinion, pretty darn tough. It's a very interesting class, but don't get it confused for an easy class.

I still can't decide how I feel about this class... He is funny, but lectures are extremely boring. Some tests are easy, some are super hard. The paper is annoying because 1) you have to read a book and 2) only recieve the topic a week before its due, and its hard to know what he wants. Only take this class if you LOVE Greek mythology

He is funny, but don't expect any help from him...he is a **** and made me feel stupid. He grades papers based on if he agrees with what you are saying rather than your argument. Tests questions are knit-picky...study everything and know it all! Avoid if looking for an easy A

Dr. Tandy is extremely funny, so his lectures are interesting. Attendance isn't mandatory, but you need to go and take detailed notes. His tests are SO easy if you took any notes at all. You are pretty much guaranteed to make an A as long as you pay attention and do your short journals and paper. He is great!

Dr. Tandy is an extemely entertaining professor. He makes it really easy to pay attention, and he really knows what he is talking about. Slightly difficult if you have no background knowledge of Greek mythology. Still a very fun class.

The quintessential professor. He's eccentric so you'll probably love his lectures. You'll have only 2 exams (midterm and final)likely noncumulative. There's one short paper (5-6 pages). Expect quizzes (easy - if you skimmed material, you can likely guess the answers, mult. choice quizzes). Attendance isn't mandatory.

His exams are VERY SPECIFIC. Don't go for the general ideas, you have to know straight facts. For the last test I only read cliffs notes and got the best grade out of the 3. Grade is comprised of 5 parts with NO curve. Sounds interesting, but people don't really do well in this class.

His tests were really easy but he makes you write a paper and it is graded unfairly! I am an English major and I got a C- on it and he was not helpful in letting me revise it. Other than the paper, easy class.

He knew his stuff and his quiz questions were simple. However, the class only has 2 tests, midterm and final. For his test (Greek) the essay question was way to broad. It should have been more specific, and there should have been more options. So, do your best to be prepared for his test.

Funny teacher and makes learning the material fun and interesting. Reading isn't required, quizzes are okay, and the midterm was a breeze. Class isn't mandatory but the notes are essential to passing the quizzes without reading. You must do one or the other. He is scatterbrained though, and definitely not as easy as Dr. Bartera (2nd half).

Easy class. Sometimes gets a little distracted by his own thoughts and gets side tracked. You have to pay attention to follow along, but he tells interesting stories that keep your attention. Read the book. If you read, then you will be able to keep up better.
