Comment:

Lots of in class group work, a good amount of random projects outside of class, but nothing too difficult. Rarely had to take notes if ever. Participation isn't necessary though she definitely got a little frustrated with my quiet class.

required a lot of writing about stuff that didnt feel very relevant, looots of group projects, things we learned about felt pretty random and disconnected, projects kind of felt like a chore because they seemed aimless. some stuff was ok but overall not great unless youre into the deeper meaning behind everything

Comment:

One of the best professors I've ever had at Butler! Don't be scared away by her high standards- it's because she really wants you to learn and think critically about things. I've learned so much from her and she really cares about the personal development of her students. She makes putting in the extra effort worth it! I'd totally take her again.

Comment:

She wants her students to independently think about the articles and assignments. If you would rather just get the job done and move on, take a different professor. I didn't even get the best grade but was so happy with the course by the end of the semester. Learned a lot. I appreciate how she uses modern articles instead of out dated text books.

I was very disappointed with Skinner, during MK480, she covered what should have been basic material, I didn't feel we learn anything. BEWARE she is very preachy and condescending, she will treat you like a little kid. She is a stressful person to be around. But the course requires little effort and is easy to pass, but I would take another prof.

She takes off point for silly things objective things when the class should be based off of my quality of performance and no on if she likes you or not. She puts nothing on moodle. Would not take her again.

If you can take Professor Skinner, please do. She genuinely cares about her students and goes out of her way to make sure you succeed not just in her class, but in life. She will push you to do your best, but I promise you will respect the hell out of her once you complete her class. She is ALWAYS on your side and willing to help you. Love her!

If you have a chance to take a class with Dr. Skinner, do it! She is amazing. I loved going to class. Very few assignments and no textbook. Projects were most of the grade and they were fun to do. She does not like cell phone use, so be respectful of that. Attendance matters in this class. Overall, amazing professor!

My favorite class& prof. at Butler so far! I looked forward to going to this class! I'm a Marketing major so I hope I will have prof. Skinner again. Prof. Skinner is very passionate her job! No textbook& hardly any homework! Projects were fun& I left her class inspired! She has zero tolerance for cheating, cellphone use& late work, but she is fair!

Professor Skinner is the best. She is so passionate about her job, and that shines through during every class. Because of her, I am considering majoring in marketing so I can have her later on. She's a great lady, and I definitely recommend her!

Exceptional Professor. You can guarantee that, even if you don't enjoy every single class, you will finish the course inspired. She is just one of those teachers that you HAVE to have before graduating b/c she does such a great job teaching you how to apply all of the concepts that you have learned. She made me remember She's great.
