He was a really really good teacher that explained the books we were reading and was able to get people involved in the discussion. He gave a midterm and a final that were both open book and based off of what we talked about in class. I would put the key points of my notes in my book on sticky notes and was able to answer all the questions.

I took him my first semester at Chabot. And like every class you need to expect work, we spent a lot of time in class going over different aspects of the text. If you take notes of these in the book you will pass the open book midterms and finals. We also did several essays that you had the chance to redo.

Yes, he make you work for your grade, so be prepare to do alot of work and reading (but hey, it's an english class) but he grades on improvement! His class is interesting and fun! He is always cracking jokes! If you need help, he is more then willing to help you! He is very passionate and knows his stuff! He is one my favorite teachers!!

Great guy. Straight forward. Makes you work for your grade, but hey, its college right?! Doesn't really grade you by your essays per say, but rather your level of improvement throughout the class. Awesome sense of humor. Really knows his subject well. Take him!

Very helpful,funny,friendly,& understanding.He grades you based on your improvement.Took english 4 w/ him in summer and it was a lot of work.Despite that,he is very accesible whenever you need help,doesn't matter whether it's 2 or 4 in the morning.HE NEVER SLEEPS!lol i wish i had taken him in english 1A. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Dr C. Makes the class so interesting,even if I could wink in his class I do not want to. He is funny yes, but since this is not what I look in a professor I would fall on how knowledgeable he is of the material he is teaching, and how much he adds to it to make the students involved and in love with the class. This was such a great class! I took it awhile ago, but I still remember him and actually being interested in the subject. It was an amazing class where you were pushed do use your brain, finally! I recommend excellent notes, pay close attention to the lecture and class discussion, and write a damn good paper! Critical but constructive. AMAZING!!

One of the best English professors on campus! I had a great time in this class. He ofcourse looks at your overall performance in the class, but I think he tends to grade you on your IMPROVEMENT and ATTITUDE than what you've been getting on your papers. Also, he's a complete dork. Love it!

I had him for 102 & 4. Overall, I'd say he's a real funny guy and that you'll get some real quality teaching from him. BUT, NONE of his classes are a breeze.. This is the best class I have ever taken at Chabot. He is very passionate about teaching and knows his material very well. Grades papers and tests within 24 hours. Keeps class interesting and has a sense of humor. I have learned a lot in this class.
