Lectures are crystal clear, but tests are difficult. The MAJORITY of the class FAILED and he said that was BETTER than usual. Dr. Netoff is truly the best professor you could take for geography. He is an expert on the subject and you will definitely take A TON of knowledge away from this class if you take good notes, study, and actually LISTEN during lectures (aka: things you should be doing anyway). It was a challenging class, but you can easily make an A if you try!

This class was entirely too hard. He was very monotome and put nearly the whole class to sleep and I advise everyone too chose another professor because he makes things more difficult than it should.

Dr. Netoff it a tough prof, if you follow his rules you will be fine. He doesn't ask too much of college students, go to class, be on time, and study the material. He has a very dry sense of humor and displays it often, but many students just don't get it. He has been very helpful to me. If you need something just go talk to him. He won't bite.

Dr. Netoff is very intelligent but his class is very difficult. There are other professors that teach the same class, I would take one of them instead. He makes things more complicated than they need to be, and isn't very accommodating to his students.

Dr. Netoff is amazing! He is extremely helpful. If you cannot manage to be on time, pay attention in class, and study, then perhaps you should not be in college. If you are a slacker, take something else. Don?t waste his time and get in the way of people who want to learn.

I loved this class, and I loved Dr. Netoff. He is extremely intelligent and learned in the field of geography. I easily made a A in the course just from listening in class and taking notes. I studied the book maybe once, and that was more out of curiosity than need. I definitely recommend taking Netoff if you aren't lazy, you will enjoy his class.

Prof. Netoffs class was BORING. he basically just read of the powerpoints that were no help. Reading the book didnt help. The tests were difficult because he would put random stuff on there we never learned. I dont know how I came out with a B.

Took the lecture during the summer through a community college(highly reccomned this bc everyone who took it at SAM said its very difficult. Anyways the lab was pretty difficult but what lab isnt. Does not curve and if you're a eduction major you need a "c" or higher. Class consist of only 11 quizes and a lab manual grade. (1 quiz dropped) No Final

Great teacher for those who arn't lazy. I honestly never even looked at the book and I got an A in his Weather and Climate class. However most people seemed to actually fail his class. I don't consider myself a science genius but it is odd how so many people couldn't seem to even pass his class. Pay attention though and you're good.

I chose this professor based on ratemyprof.com and all of these ratings are wrong. He gives you absolutely no guideline of what to study for tests. You start tests not knowing if what you studied was correct. I do NOT recommend this professor. He knows what he's talking about but its one of those classes you make a C in no matter how hard you study

Comment:

Great teacher, very smart, quite interesting if you can get him talking in class. Its a pretty hard class and the whole geology department works on there tests together so the tests are bad no matter what. If you are looking for a 4.0 dont take this class out of 100+ kids 2 got A's.
