HE IS AWFUL! I am basically an all "A" student (one B) and this is one of the worst classes i have taken at Lamar! He has no taste in literature and believes it's his way or the highway. I had "A's" on every single assignment until he slapped me with an "c" on my best paper of the semester (it happened that it was worth 30%) leaving me with an "B".

I was petrified of this professor before taking his class. Afterall, I was taking 18 hours and I wasn't sure if I could handle his course requirements. Sure enough, his class became one of my favorites. He's very interesting & he really helped me out w/any questions I had. If you treat him w/respect, he'll treat you w/respect.

Daigrepont is not someone to take if you have a full semester. His class requires FULL attention and much preperation. He grades very hard..especially on essays. Its difficult to determine what he wants, so dont even try asking him. Dont speak unless spoken to and DO NOT BE LATE. If you have the dedicated time, take him...if not, steer clear.

He's got some temper. After class, I asked one question, and apparently he didn't like what I asked so he shouted at me and humiliated me in front of other couple of students. He ended up saying that he didn't want to see my face. I highly recommend not to take him.

I was taking World Lit. We watched two movies. Yes, he wants some respect, what's wrong with that? His grading is more objective that any other Eng prof I had. He is clear on what he wants from his students; gives guidelines. Not so much of a discussion, but he doesn't mind your comment or a question. One of the most enjoyable classes.

It's predictable that people wouldn't have anything good to say Daigrepont; most college kids are weenies who want a free ride through school. Daigrepont wasn't easy, and he wasn't exactly the nicest guy, but he's one of the few college teachers I've had who actually teaches at a college level. I respect that.

Avoid this man's classes at all costs. He is a caustic, condescending wretch. Don't question him in any way - he's got a huge ego and will hold against you everything he can. He's specific when grading, and harsh to the point of degradation, even though his assignment sheets list vague requirements. He talks down to every student.

Daigrepont will drop you if you are late or absent more than three times. Twice, I had an A when he dropped me for being late-any time after he has closed the door to the class. The tests were easy. It is a Lit class, so there is a lot of reading. To pass the essay, just write only things he said in class. He wants parrots.
