Great Professor, highly reccomend if you have the oppertunity to take her! Makes class fun and enjoyable! Studying for test is not a must but would reccomend if your looking to get a decently high grade. Very important to do Learnsmarts or you probably will not pass.

Comment:

Remembered everyone despite having over 100 students in the classroom. Encouraged participation and helped us make healthier choices. Doesn't offer traditional extra credit but will frequently give random bonus points to encourage people to show up. You do use the textbook a lot for Connect. Tests are multiple choice and not terribly tough.

Comment:

An intro level health class that requires more work load than any of my major courses. Homework at least three times a week and the online textbook is expensive which of course is where the homework is found. Professor lectures at you for an hour and you have to fight falling asleep. Forced to do CDC cert which was just more added stress. too much.

Comment:

Professor Hayduk likes things in specific order. It can get annoying but I didn't mind. You HAVE to buy the online textbook ($80) because the assignments are through there. She gives A LOT of extra credit so if you get C's on like 2 exams you'll be okay. You have to show up for the extra credit. Overall, not a hard course if you do what is asked

This was the easiest class I have ever taken in my 5 years in college. If you get anything less than a B in this class you might want to reconsider even going to college. I showed up pretty much every day sure, but never took notes, never studied, did all the homework in about 30 mins each assignment, and got an A+ in the class. Easy A...

Her tests are VERY heavily based off of the textbook. Class often feels pointless and the tests are structured surprisingly hard, with a lot of your typical "all these answers are right but which one is the most right" kind of thing. Not an easy grade at all and became a very frustrating class to study for.

Get ready to read. 90% of the material on the exams come from the textbook which you have to learn on your own. She teaches the common sense stuff in class. However, I will say she is a fun bubbly woman who makes it easier to be awake and in class at such an early hour. She does give LOTS of extra credit to help your grade.

A very small portion of the questions on each test are based on material taught in class. Because of this, expect to do a lot of reading the textbook and a lot of staring at the wall in class while you discuss things you won't have to know. Attendance is not required, however bonus points are offered somewhat often in class.

Not a great professor. Tests are much more complicated then they have to be. It's not the fact that they're hard, but all the answers sound opinion based. She calls on you randomly and is very picky. The only bright side to this class is that theres a lot of extra credit. This class isnt an automatic A and you wont learn more than you already know.

Very easy professor if you just need to take her for your basic health class. Exams aren't too difficult and the Connect assignments are grade boosters! She also gives out extra credit (very easy assignments) She keeps class interesting and makes it easy to get through class. Definitely recommend!!!

Loved her! The reading/tests are on connect, which I like but it was a lot to deal with sometimes. She makes it fun and I didn't mind going early in the morning!

She's a really sweet women, and she knows her stuff, but the tests are what killed me. Nothing from the lecture or book is what's in the exam, but she doesn't offer A LOT of extra credit to help us out. If you're willing to work, take her, but if you're going for an easy A, she is not the one for you.

She calls on you randomly in class, even in our 8am. Doesn't allow anyone to even lay their heads down on the desk. Her tests are ridiculous, not in the sense that they are hard, but that the answers are all awful. I sometimes doubted her intelligence by how badly her tests were made and the answers we had to choose from. She's irritating.

I took her Health 010 class online and I visited her once in her office. She's a fair grader, but since I didn't actually see her in a classroom I don't know her teaching style. The tests, which are online multiple-choice, are the hardest multiple choice tests I've taken, but the assignments, though time consuming, weren't too hard.

Professor Hayduk is a great professor, not an easy A, she makes you work for it, but overall if you do all the work and show up for class you'll get an A. A lot of homework assignments but gives a lot of extra credit also.

I'm a straight A student, have high tolerance for unreasonable profs but I didnt enjoy this class. Attendance isn't mandatory but FORCES you to participate when you do show up and has a dumb seating chart. She did very annoying things and was extremely picky. I didnt like it. Class was pretty easy but if ur are looking for an easy A this isn't it

Solid choice for a health class. Really nice and a pretty simple class. Her tests however are like half what you learn in class and half what you read so beware of that and you have to buy the textbook with the connect code because there are a lot of book assignments. Go to class because some questions on tests you will only know by going to class.

She is an awesome professor and teaches quite an easy class if you give it some effort! She offers loads of extra credit and do your homework because those points add up!!!! Her tests are based off of in class videos and activities and also lecture notes, so come to class and pay attention!

I took this class online, but still felt like I learned what I needed to. She gives assignments weekly, so you cant work too far ahead, but you still have enough time to do your work when it is more convenient for you. I would recommend this class. Very fair criteria and grading.
