She is a very unique individual. She has very little graded assignments, outlines of each chapter, 1 midterm and 1 take home final. She misses a lot of classes but the class is extremely easy.

Comment:

Professor Yarri often gets off topic during class and takes awhile to grade but the material is easy. Grading is based on journal outlines, a couple papers, a written midterm, and a take home final. She sometimes offers extra credit but if you put in the effort you wont need it. An easy A but you wont know your grade unless you ask her.

Comment:

Dr. Yarri's personality may not be for everyone, but I find that it made class interesting. She shows a lot of videos and is a very heavy textbook user. Assignments varied and tests were opened ended but easy if you used the study guide. One negative (or maybe a positive..) is that she would randomly cancel class without emailing.

Professor was wonderful, very into the subject matter and a clear and fair grader. She is a stickler with writing (spelling & grammar), attendance, participation, and simply following directions (it's amazing how many college students don't follow BASIC directions). You earn your grade with her. Would take again and highly recommend.

She is very passionate about what she teachers, making classes enjoyable. She is not only passionate about the subject, but her students as well! She is very helpful and understanding with late work, and she does provide extra credit! Super nice lady and a great prof!

She's super fun and quirky. She loves animals (especially cats) and if you bring up cats in class she'll love you forever. She's not a hard grader, but she does expect you to participate in class and write coherently. Can come off as strange and weird but has a heart of gold and a very unique sense of humor. Expect the unexpected in her classes.

She is a very nice women and understands if an issue arises. But she only gave 100 pts the whole semester. She will make journals that are three pages, only worth 2 pts. I wouldnt recommend taking a class with her.

I think she is color blind. She is very enthusiastic about what she teaches. She loves her cats and horseback riding. She also loves Law and Order. Pretty easy class and I feel like I learned a lot. She's a little crazy but overall great teacher.

Not a good class to take. Reading the comments its seemed as tho prof yarri has slipped. Completely boring lady. quiz every class. read 2 chapters of the text every week and answer questions about the chapters that arent clear.

Dr. Yarri is a funny lady and incredibly SMART. She will research any question that you ask her. She is fairly laid back and brings related videos and tv shows to class like law and order, er, etc. I enjoyed my 3 classes with her. She reminds me of Ms. Frizzle from Magic School Bus... In a good way.

I've had Dr. Yarri for 5 classes now and she is great. So what if she dresses crazy and so what if she doesn't like the other professors on campus. She is insightful, helpful, and she will make you retain information from her class. Yeah you have to work for you grade but that's expected. She is a great person and prof. Id recommend her anyday!!

Her style pains me, just as much as her teaching does, she tells you she is going to talk about a topic next and never gets to it. Will not even consider another view point and compares philosophy with theology, which truly these are opposites.
