I went to Stockton 10 years ago and can't believe this human piece of garbage still works there. She doesn't care about student needs and thinks her class should come before everything else. If you accidentally took her course this semester, withdrawal immediately before she brings down your GPA and wastes your money. Both of which she won't care.

Terrible teacher I would strongly recommend not taking this teacher. She was unclear with instructions and incredibly unhelpful. I had a 4.0 prior to the class and after getting a C- on the first paper i begged for help. Got none, and dropped because she laughed when I said i was aiming for an A. Lots of work too!!

If you follow the directions and giver her exactly what she wants in her 5 page papers, due every other week, you will be fine. But if there is a part of a paper that she doesn't like, she will tear you apart and can be very rude in responses. There is absolutely NO excuses for late papers either.

She is honestly the most useless professor at Stockton. As an online class, you would think she would answer emails but NOT HER!! Hard papers that she doesn't even grade herself, but has a machine do it. When you ask for help, she simply copies and pastes from the syllabus. Sooooo not worth the GAH!!

I decided to ignore most of the comments on here because i was extremely desperate to get out of music&the holocaust.You have a 3 page paper due every thursday and then one extra credit or rewrite due as the last assignment. Although I got an A in this class, it was NOT EASY! 1.5 page cited essays due every Saturday, which was an awkward day to have them due by. Don't take this class if you don't like discussions, half of your grade is determined by the essays and half of your grade is based on discussions. She is a kind woman, but hard grader.

She is the most pathetic excuse for a professor that I have ever seen. She wants you to use citations that a 4th grader would use (cite every single sentence with (B,34 or L,22).I love throwing all of my language training into the trash.She gives you a C- over actually using correct MLA/APA format.Both an online and a General course, it is a joke.

Complete joke of a teacher. Came to class unorganized and didn't want to be bothered by her students. Treated us like we were children and when we had tests had us sit in every other desk so we didn't cheat. How she is still teaching is beyond me. Do as others say and avoid her at all costs!

Took this class online, what a mistake! She is truly a wacko. She makes you write a 3 essay every week, and watch these dvds from like 1990. If she doesn't like your story in your essay or you don't relate enough to the book you're screwed. Way too difficult for a G course, stay as far away from this prof as possible!

The absolute worst professor I have ever came across. She does not want to be bothered with teaching - she is just there to collect her paycheck. And Do not dare ask a single question or you will get your head bitten off. What is scary, is that, she is a Sociologist - should they, at least, like people, a little bit?

What Most Students can't get over about Elinor is that their personal opinions really don't matter to her. Its the material and ehat they think about that. She cares about her students like none other. One of my classmates was a victim of sexual violence that semester and Elinor was right there for her. She went to the hospital and everything.

The syllabus for this class makes it seem much more confusing than it actually is. It is not hard to get an A on every essay however you do HAVE TO watch every movie, read required chapters, and watch video lectures in order to do well. Don't bother e-mailing her questions, she never responds.

Comment:

I had Elinor for an Intro to Soc class back in 1979. Yes 1979. She was one of the best teachers I have ever had. This is true even after years of graduate school. It was a difficult class, but if you put the work in and had any intelligence you could do well. Most of the posters here lack both attributes thus the negative ratings.
