She is nice as a person but her tests are hard man. All the homeworks are based on aplia which is quiet easy but her exams aren't anything like that. she doesn't curve at all..... this class really brought my GPA down.... if possible stay away....

I was very interested in Economics when I came into this class. She made everything that she taught VERY confusing, and her tests are all about wording, seems like she is not there to help, but rather to trick you. I went to class, studied did all the homework, and still not satisfied with the grade I got. DONT TAKE HER!

I am an a student and I work fairly hard. Her tests are all about wording. She's older so extremely old fashioned and attendance is a must. She uses aplia for homework which is easy and misleads you for the tests because her questions are nothing like the aplia questions. Don't take her. There are better micro teachers and micro is hard enough without trick questions. There's no discussing anything with her. She's not there to help you.

Teaches off of slides in powerpoint, uses Aplia... everything will be found in Aplia. I got a C on the midterm and the average was a C+. She takes attendance every class...I got a B in the class overall so thats not bad with the midterm grade i got.

i got a c+ in this class by the grace of god! she teaches straight off of the powerpoint slides, but never gives you enough time to copy off the slides, let alone read 2 sentences! the class average for the midterm was in the 60s...doesn't that say it all?

She teaches right off of powerpoint slides which she puts online. she doesn't use blackboard though and makes you pay extra for some other online tutorial site, which actually turned out to be extremely helpful. mandatory online homework assignments. tests are extensive.

I had no interest in Economics before I took this class, but she made it really interesting, and made me really interested. She is a little quirky, but overall a great teacher, who is really passionate about what she teaches. Would recommend if your willing to put in the least bit of effort, especially when it comes to HW.

i took this class thinking it would be just as good as 101... big mistake! she's a nice lady but the lectures were boring, she read from the powerpts and only two exams which were both horrible! it ruined my gpa, i was a A/B studet and i got my first C- in this class, now i have to retake it!

It is upsetting that professors don't get yearly reviews that actually determine there status as a professor. Her teaching style is extremely poor, leaving you with very little opportunity to learn. Quickly favors select students and has little patience. Teaches directly from the slides. Midterm average was a 62

Don't take Urban Economics with her. She's a good person but she's definitely not a good teacher of this course. She's ALWAYS late and takes about 15 minutes to open her PPT file. She has no organization of course materials and she has boring voice. I'm trying to get over this class, though I love economics.

prof. roistacher is an excellent teacher. she cares a lot about her students and wants to help them do well. her tests are not so easy, but they are fair and she gives a lot of ways to raise your grade. she makes a not-so-interesting topic a lot more enjoyable.

good teacher but not too organized when she wrote on the board notes everywhere couldn't fully understand she gives huge hw assignments she forgets that we have other classes too. tests are ok just study for them. She is also very pickie if you leave the room to go to the head.
