In all honesty, I had never picked up a bible before this class. You don't need to know all about about Christianity before you come to this course. Holleyman is absolutely amazing and very honest when it comes to the material. Would not have traded him for the world. Quizzes each class over reading material. Tests are based off lectures.

Comment:

Man, throwback city. I had Holleyman back in Fall '13, as a freshman, and he's pretty great. The daily quizzes are ten questions, multiple choice, and they're pretty reasonable. If you put half an hour into the assigned reading before each class, you'll be fine for the quizzes. Most of his test material came from either the quizzes or his lectures.

BEST PROFESSOR AT BAYLOR UNIVERSITY. you have to work to make an A in his class but its totally doable. I CANNOT EMPHASIZE THIS ENOUGH !!!TAKE HOLLEYMAN!!!

Dr. Holleyman really keeps a lot of students attention because he is very passionate when it comes to teaching Christian Scriptures. He makes it clear to understand and follow. There are daily quizzes but they are easy as long as you do the reading prior to taking it and have notes.

Awesome class. I was in a 200 person class and it kept me engaged more than some of my 10 person classes. Plus I had an SI and Hollyman and her worked well together, which made the class very easy to do well in if you put the effort. The class is really just about effort, and as long as you care you will do great.

Dr. Holleyman is one of my favorite professors at Baylor. Not only is he well-respected within the Baylor community, but he treats every student with the same respect. Don't take this class unless you plan on going into some kind of ministry though, because it is built around an internship that you have with a local minister. Overall, he's awesome!

One of, if not the best professor at Baylor. Love the guy to death an he's a absolute genius. Go to class, get to know him, GO TO SI, and you'll ace it!

This teacher is the bomb. Every time i go into his office hours I spend at least 30 minutes in there. He is very helpful. You need to study for his tests because they are challenging. However, he has a great SI and his lectures are interesting.

He doesn't try to push his views on you, which is a good thing.He's very helpful and there are a good amount of extra credit opportunities. He had SI as well but I never went and still got an A in the class and I've never been into religion.He gives 20 quizzes, but takes best 15 grades and they're very easy(6 questions)..use your book. Highly Rec.

He is such a good teacher. He keeps things interesting even when it isn't a very interesting subject. Tests are pretty easy just go to the extra study sessions he offers. Quiz everyday online but they are always really easy and you can use your book. I would recommend taking his class!!! He is just a really nice guy.

He is a great teacher. He is passionate about the scriptures and is very helpful. I disagree with one of the previous posters; his study guide should help you with nearly every question on the tests. Although he can get boring at times, if you put in effort, you should get an A.

I love this class!! Dr. Holleyman is an awesome teacher!! he really gets into the subject and teaches in a way that keeps you interested! i hardly ever get bored in this class and it is an hour and a half long. He is a great guy and teacher!! take him if you have the chance!!!!
