Comment:

Loved her HDEV1 class. Explains things very clearly and has lots of fun stories to go along with what is taught in class. Her tests rely heavily on the textbook, but the are all online and open book. Overall a really enjoyable class. She is a really caring and friendly teacher. I would take it again for sure.

Comment:

I was not super impressed. Most of our classes are either students sharing their experiences or her talking about her experiences (talks about her kids A LOT). It may be good if you learn by hearing other people's personal stories, but for me, it's a snooze fest. It's a lot of facts and statistics. Not my favorite class, but it's easy!

I recommend this professor 100%!! She was so outgoing, easy-going and friendly. Her lectures are fun to listen to, theres only 4 exams (online!) and a few discussion questions for a virtual life program. Overall my favorite class in the semester. I bought a book ($89) and ended up returning it because most answers from exams were in PPT slides.

Amazing Professor! She turns her lectures into fun conversations with the whole class. You can tell she is very passionate about child development and really knows her stuff. All the tests are take home which is very helpful, they are not super easy but you get to look at the book so you can't really complain. She made me want to switch my major!

Awesome teacher! You dont even need to show up to class to pass, as long as you get the book and show up on the days she hands out the take home tests and turn the tests in on time you will pass! She is not boring at all during the lecture and is a fun teacher all around! Love her as a teacher highly recommend!

Lori is a great teacher. I took this course online and its really easy. The exams are straight out of the book, so if you do take her make sure you buy the book. It's extremely easy, if you take her online all you really do is comment on her lectures. She only requires 5 comments per lecture!! Good luck!:)

I was very frustrated with Lori. All the assignments were on the internet. She only gave 2 mini tests and 3 tests. I received A's on all tests but failed the class because ALL assignments were on the internet. I did not have internet and live 45 minutes away from the school. I felt she took the easy was out by giving only 4 assignments.

One of the best teachers I have ever had! She loves teaching and it sure shows. Her lectures are fun and very informative so try not to miss them. She gives great examples and has lots of wonderful stories. The exams are take home so you can do them at your own pace. Gives up to 20 extra credit points which is HUGE!! Highly reccomend Mrs C.!!

She's really helpful. She gives take home tests which aren't hard but you really have to read the chapters. So far my favorite class. I love listening to her stories and how they relate to human development. Excellent teacher do take her.

Comment:

Lori is a very animated teacher and she has lots of interesting stories. The take home exams are very difficult, I spent at least 5 hours on each one and still only got B's (half my class failed each exam). Also, we had to do a Virtual Child project (new this semester), which is challenging. Do not put it off 'til the last minute!
