A lot of material out of the book. Assigned chapters each night. Time management not the best. Wants students to do well. Tests are only difficult if you don't read the textbook (much of the tests comes from the textbook). Likes those who speak up in class. I'd only recommend him to those who really love Econ. He's honestly really great though!

Tests are near impossible to pass unless you are an econ major (which a lot of people who take this class aren't). Uses the book a lot for tests. Has horrible time management, ran out of time in the semester, but still tested us on stuff we didn't talk about in class. Never checks emails promptly, so go to him personally if you have questions.

Tests are surprisingly hard, lectures can be hard to follow sometimes, he breaks up sentences with a lot of unneccesary info. Funny guy and a good lighthearted class atmosphere - you will learn the material or prepare to go down on the test!

Tough class that requires a lot of reading and studying. Funny guy who really knows his stuff but sometimes forgets that it is the first time many students have seen the material he teaches in class.

He was a pretty tough teacher. A LOT OF READING AND A LOT OF WRITING IN RESPONSE TO THE READINGS. Has pretty hard tests but they are quite a bit easier if you go to the study sessions. He's a really cool guy, very funny.

I didn't have much of an econ history going into the class. I am now considering a minor or a major in it. He's a tough teacher and expects a lot out of his students, but he is an awesome guy and fun to listen to talk. His tests can be tough, but if you study and go to the revies sessions youll be fine. Great teacher and youll learn a lot.

I had trouble with this class, but that is because I had a poor econ. background. If you keep up on reading and ask questions, it makes class a lot easier, a lot. He is very easy going and always willing to carry discussion to where the class wants to take it. Put in the effort and you will do well.

I liked his course; he's a good guy, but his tests were pretty hard. Each class period almost ways consisted of a discussion of the reading we did the day/night before.

Econ isn't my only class dawg. I don't have time to sit around and do your crap all night after class, especially since you want me out there dancing cheek to cheek with all the trees on campus in addition to learning econ by osmosis. Also, if you give exams, they should be at least loosely based on the instruction.

Ernie is a great guy, except we read A LOT! Like 8 books, one was 700pages, we were quized frequently too. It's a pretty easy course, but a lot of work must be put in to it!

Ernie is great! He knows how to read the students and move the discussion along accordingly, assuring there'll never be a dull moment. He also likes to throw in controversial reading topics for discussion. Ernie.. we may not all like poetry.. just keep plugging along until you get marginal returns.

He inspires me to think of my life in terms of supply & demand. I have a large demand for his body (and mind), i hope he supplies it. Yesterday in class he said the cutest thing about depreciation. I'd go for a ride in his hybrid any day. OH YEAH!
