Your grade is based on 3 exams, the highest one is counted for twice. You do not need the book. Very educated and cracks jokes. Don't even read the book just study his notes. Attendance is not mandatory but I would go considering his tests are exactly the notes. Hes awesome, I am an econ major so he helped a lot

Funny guy, very knowledgeable in the field of economics. No phones, he will call you out every single time for the entire semester, and hell give you crap for coming in late sometimes. Besides that his class pretty easy; 3 tests and your best test grade gets counted double. DOESNT USE BLACKBOARD- I never knew what I had in the class

Great Prof., it's not mandatory to attend class but you'll find it much easier to keep up with the material (he will give random attendance checks) his general rule of thumb is that what he goes over in class is what is expected on the exams despite that there is more in the book. Makes rare jokes but is mostly on topic. Knowledgeable, great pick.

Great professor! He lectures all class every class and it does get boring but he is very clear and great at explaining everything. The content can get confusing but he really helps you understand the material. Youre graded on 3 tests and your highest test grade counts twice (25%, 25%, 50%) attendance not required but you need good notes to do well

He seems like a hard professor, but after a few classes you will soon realize he cares about the subject. Class is a lecture and only graded on the three tests. Tests are relatively easy as long as you put in effort to study. In order to do well in the class you have to put in the effort, but it is worth it and it is a great class. No Phones.

Prof Crakes was very lecture heavy and passed a sheet around for attendance. No hw, do not need the book only tests what he lectures, so take notes and you will be fine. Loves yelling at people for phones, eating headphones, etc.

Don't bother buying the book but he's a very straight forward guy. Everything he writes on the board is on the tests and makes a topic as boring as Macro somewhat fun.

Professor Crakes. Everything that he puts on your exams he covers in class, don't talk or text in class. He'll call you out. He only has three tests throughout the semester but counts your best one more than the other two. He's very clear while discussing the topic,+ tries to make the class as fun as possible.

Dr. Crakes is an incredible lecturer. He says you need to buy the book, but don't bother. Everything that he puts on your exams he covers in class, so seriously- don't get the book. You won't need it. Also don't talk or text in class. He'll call you out. All in all, I really enjoyed his class. I'd take him again.

I've never taken an economic course before and Professor Crakes made the topic really easy to understand. He only has three tests throughout the semester but counts your best one more than the other two. He's very clear while discussing the topic,+ tries to make class as fun as possible. I recommend buying the textbook but his tests are note-based.

Professor Crakes is one of those professors that cares about your future, he explains everything in simplest terms so that everyone can really grasp what he is saying. I am super happy I took him. He made a difficult topic easy to learn, and always held my attention. TAKE HIM!

Crakes was a good professor. His teaching style is straight lecture, but he found a way to make a boring topic fairly interesting. There are 3 noncumulative exams that are very straight forward. He really wants to see everyone pass and tries to make the material understandable. If you go to class and study a bit, you will pass. I recommend him!

Just show up for class and take notes and you will pass. It's all memorization, so even if you're not necessarily good at economics, you can still easily get an A if you put in a tiny amount of effort. Crakes is a nice guy, pretty funny and he's a really great teacher. Don't buy the book, you'll never use it.

Crakes is too funny, seriously. He's an older guy but he's got jokes. Anyway, he's pretty easy. Write down what he says in class and do note cards, easy A. I did't open the book once. But there is a study guide that helps review key terms. ONLY WHAT HE COVERS IN CLASS IS ON THE EXAM. No stress. Take him if you can!!!! Barely takes attendance.

Only 3 tests. Very clear lectures. Write down everything he writes on the board or tells you to write down. Go to class or miss the material. Tests are mostly multiple choice. Skip the book, or buy the previous edition, the readings aren't necessary. Takes attendance sporadically. NO CELL PHONES.

Don't skip class and go to every lecture. Take down notes because the tests are basically taken directly from them. DO NOT BUY THE BOOK. He'll say you have to do reading but everything you need to know for the test is in your notes, trust me.

Great Professor, makes a boring class pretty interesting with jokes and tries to get the class involved in different ways. He basically tells you what to write down and what to study. He also explains everything VERY well and has impeccable english, unlike other professors at SCSU. Overall a great guy, get Crakes for a professor if you can.

I barely showed up to class, got a D on the final and still got a B+ in the course. Counts your highest exam twice, it really pulls up your grade. A lot more definitions and memorization than concepts in beginning, end gets a little more in depth but barely.
