Overall, he's a nice man. He doesn't give a final and there's no lab reports so that's a plus. However, he assisted in writing the textbook, he makes you purchase a writing handbook (he also created) that has the wrong page numbers for references in them in regards to the textbook. He also has a very strict no cell phone policy.

Prof is beyond amazing! His attributes truly make an outstanding teacher and I fell in love with the course. It's not an easy A and procrastinating won't work for a course like AP. Be ready to read, understand and memorize tons of information. Try to use your body as a reference. It will really help you memorize those crazy Latin words. Good luck!

I absolutely loved this class. He is so organized. Very knowledgeable on the subject as well, the dude wrote the textbook. He gives typed notes for each class. All the information for the tests come from those + some medical terminology which you need to know. Lab exams are easy and he tells you exactly what to study. Take him you wont regret it!!

Amazing professor! Very easy to do well if you show up to class and study the lecture notes. Each class he hands out lecture notes which contain all the info you need to know for exams. Lectures are engaging and he has a great sense of humor. Five lecture exams, ALL multiple choice. Five easy lab quizzes. Very straightforward. 10/10 recommend

Professor Tortora literally wrote the book. He knows the material inside and out and provides condensed notes of each chapter. He explains everything very well in lecture. He gives you a study guides the week before each test. If you complete the study guide, you will get an A! All tests are multiple choice :)

Professor Tortora is very clear in what he wants you to know. He gives review questions before each exam. The learning guide is very helpful and reinforces what he teaches in lecture. He can be sarcastic but I found him to be extremely helpful and understanding. If you are willing to study and review the material you will do fine

Tortora is a wonderful professor. He provides students with notes so it is easier for us to pay attention during class. Though he reads from them, he will always explain the more complicated concepts more thoroughly. Go to class, get the notes, listen to what he has to say. Study the notes and you will definitely get an A!

Great professor. Really knows what he's lecturing about. You really need to study, go to lecture, and listen if you want a good grade. He'll never give extra credit, even if his life depended on it, so make sure you get good grades off the bat. If you're willing to put in the work, you should definitely take him. He's a great professor.

Professor Torora was not what I expected. He doesn't care enough, he is very sarcastic and makes you feel uncomforable. His lack of inspiration shows. He reads off a sheet in lecture. Tortora made us buy his book and barley ever used it. The worst part is, his review sheet questions are not in the tests. don't take him.

I would recommend Prof Tortora to my best friend. He is no nonsense type of teacher who will cover stuff that really matters. He is really funny but above all could take a joke himself. This is a material heavy course so get ready to memorize although he will tell you exactly what to focus on. He is available for help and wants you to succeed.

Took him for A&P1. Doesn't give EC or drop grades, but he understands giving the benefit of the doubt and knowing what kind of student you are when giving final grades. quizzes are easy, but tests can be CRAZY you have to know how to study to do well. there isn't a final which i liked, just 6 tests that were 70% your grade. really liked him overall

Get your study skills down pat before you take Tortora. I learned the hard way that I did NOT know how to study for him. You will learn a lot, so take advantage of his wealth of knowledge. He is caring, contrary to the comments about his sarcasm/greed. Quizzes are easy (memorization), but exams are difficult. He is very intelligent.

Take someone else. He gives you notes and literally reads them to you once; will show diagrams during lecture. He grades you based on 6 exams and 5 lab quizzes. Lab quizzes are cut and dry (easy). Exams extremely hard, 100 Q MC, TF and matching. A lot of "best answer" questions. No extra credit. Final grade: 70% exams, 30% quizzes.
