I took AP Calc BC in high school but didn't get the credit, so this class was really just a gen ed requirement. While the course material wasn't too difficult, some of it needed serious explaining, all of which Ms. Bass failed to do. She really doesn't seem to know how to teach the content.

Comment:

Her class is definitely challenging, but that is the nature of the course material. She will work with her students to ensure their understanding of the material is sufficient to move onto classes like calculus. Lectures are somewhat difficult to follow but do make sense. She isn't as bad as some people on here have made her out to be.

She is the absoloute WORST teacher I have ever had. She has no clue how to explain what she is doing and if you stop her to ask her..she just explains it SLOWER, not clearer. She takes points off for everything, only explains things in one way (her way), and acts so annoyed when you don't understand. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS! GET OUT WHILE YOU CAN!!!!

This is about as close to a superior hatred as I can get toward a teacher. She marked me off for showing work! Seriously,i took this class in high school, missed out on the final exam, and STILL passed. The school board needs to see this site, because that teacher SUCKS!!! I might as well eat my book. Honestly...

ABANDON ALL HOPE YE WHO ENTER!Seriously, though, we are here at 2AM studying for the 4th exam that most of us will fail. Mrs. Bass is confusing, confused, yet surprisingly helpful (during office hours). Don't expect an A you could be the next great mathmatician but she will destroy you. Dr Bass is a nice lady. That being said, she isn't a very good teacher. She easily gets frustrated with students and gives tests/quizzes on material that is not covered in class. Not recommended.

Professor Bass is simply not a good teacher. She makes everything way harder than they really are and she is very picky at her grading. I am pretty good at math but she makes things terrible. I tried to go into her class being optimistic but its almost impossible to understand her and they way she teaches. Good luck to anyone who has to take her.

A lot of stats students REALLY don't like her. However, if you look deeper than face value, they despise her for personal reasons. Dr. Bass gives you the assigned reading ahead of time and expects you to learn most of it on your own. Class is like a review session. If you do the assigned work, YOU WILL PASS with a B or an A. I loved her!

Avoid at all cost! She confuses even herself. She makes easy concepts difficult. I did ALL of the homework and studied and still wound up making B's on her test. I would get the right answers but she took points off anywhere she could! Definitely not worth it!

STAY AWAY!!!! Takes off points for every little thing. The test consists of problems that are nothing like the homework. Gives daily quizes on the homework that add up to hurt your grade if you don't do to well. I would not recommend this teacher to anyone. AVOID HER AT ALL COSTS!!!

She is not understanding at all. She teaches in a way that makes the easiest problems difficult. She takes points off for EVERY LITTLE THING! She gives a quiz everyday and if you leave in the middle of class (i.e. Doctor's Appt.) She'll give you a zero on it. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS! Take the placement exam and skip it. I wish I had.
