One of the best Engineering professors I've had. His lectures are very helpful and gives example problems that set you up for success. Very nice and approachable, won't put you down for any questions you ask. Tests challenge your knowledge but they aren't impossible to do good on. If you go to class and actively take notes you will do just fine.

I cannot recommend this guy enough. Crystal clear, helpful, and gives you assignments that you will actually learn from. Example: learning how to do insulation calcs, size a cooling fan, and much more. Also take him for dynamics in the spring, energy systems, and thermo when he teaches it.

overall a great teacher. lot of textbook use but that is a result of the class not him. he always did great examples and explained the HW to us. his falts were that he used power piont and he would sneak a curve ball in on his tests.

I liked Kallio. Even though I learned more from doing examples in class than from lecture slides out of the book. Never really responded to E-mails. Be prepared to use the book a lot!
