Mr. Mohler may be described as tough but he certainly prepares you for employment or to continue on at the university level. You must have a textbook but he helps the student find affordable books. He will spend extra time with the individual student if needed and is always available during office hour. Excellent teacher if you are there to learn!

Comment:

Mr. Mohler is the smartest man I've ever met! He has SIX Who's Who in America (real ones - not the ones you buy!) and every student who has succeeded in Mohler's classes has been gainfully employed at top corporations with high salaries! You need to be motivated to learn and he will teach you. Spends extra time with you individually if necessary.

I highly recommend this course for those interested in the Computer Science field or anyone that wants to learn to code. Professor Mohler got his Master's from UC Berkeley and knows his stuff. He teaches the fundamentals of computer programming, algorithms and data structures, which will better prepare you for learning any programming language.

Comment:

Greg Mohler is a professor that you have to take in southwestern college if you want to be fully prepared for the computer science field. Even though his classes are limited to an intro and logic class, he is far the best to take to get the right preperation for higher req classes. But as a fair warning, he forces his students to think critically.

By far the easiest class i have ever taken, no homework other then read and study. Each test question and answer is in the text book and the Online study guide. He walks you through what you need to do in lab. People complaining are dumb. If he makes you feel stupid its because you are, just study and pay attention. #JET LIFE

I loved this class! Greg pushes his students in preparation of entering into the IT field. He was always there to go over any subject matter that I didn't fully comprehend during the lecture. Don't be discouraged to speak up during class! Work with him to confirm that you comprehend the material. This is a very logic intensive course!

shows a way to buy both books for class for cheap. he can be scary to talk to in class but outside of class he's harmless. he hints that most of the questions for tests will come directly from book and even goes over online study guide in class. oh yea, AND PAY ATTENTION. to the class and syllabus.

I hated this class. He was very boring. He sweared all the time, took smoking breaks every 5 minutes and thought everyone was stupid. I already knew how to use the software he was showing us in the lab and thank goodness for that, I wouldn't have passed his class otherwise.

Great teacher, easy to follow, available for help. If you dont pass this class, you are not paying attention in class and you are not studing for the test. we offer failing student a chance to pass by turning in some project (most lazy people wont even do) so dont blame it on him if you just dont care for school...

I dont undestand how people can rate Mr. Mohler so low. The class I took was super easy, he gave us study guides and hints before every exam and even gave the failing student a chance to pass by turnning in some homework (most wouldnt even do it).

You will get the most out of this class if you do all of the assignments and come to all of the lectures. Mr. Mohler isn't always very clear, so you have to pay attention and ask questions in class. He will help you out if you ask him.

This guy is harder than the professors at SDSU, but knows his stuff. If you want to PASS this class, you HAVE to dedicate time into reading the book and understanding the material. Do ALL of the assignments and don't miss a test or quiz and you'll pass with no lower than a C. Don't take this course if you're only looking for filler units.

He is an interesting professor with many "cigarette breaks" often leaving class for a period of time. I reccomend studying the book and refering back to it. He will go out of his was to pass a student.

Class was fine until we got to programming. Mohler does not explain things very well, and belittles some that ask questions. Left class feeling confused some days!
