Comment:
Dr Harvey is such a gem! She is so passionate about the nature, and really, people who loves nature can't be bad, right? I really like her though I had to work so hard in her class to barely get an A. She expected quite a lot from your term paper and research, but if you put your effort into it, it will pay back.

Dr. Harvey is really nice and friendly, but her lectures are generally difficult to follow. She didn't do tests in either 310 or 315, just a big paper at the end of each. Whether you read or not, it doesn't really matter, when doesn't cover the material much anyway. Don't take her classes if you hate long, ranty lectures. Very fun to talk to though

Dr. Harvey is a quirky, nice lady who is passionate form history and the environment. Hist 310 is easy and if you actually apply yourself, you will learn a lot! I think it's great information for aspiring environmentalists and will make you think critically about our planet. One big paper, no tests, just reading for every class. Happy I took it!

Her grading has nothing to do with class, and grading is based only on papers outside of class. She also is not a very engaging speaker, which is unfortunate because her class is basically lecture based. She is nice, so that's a plus, I guess.

Positive: The tests are essay tests and she gives you a study guide that basically has what you need to know. You can kind of BS your way through a majority of the tests by having a general understanding. Negative: I took her class as a TuesdayThursday class and the lectures were painfully long and boring. She's pretty unorganized & a slow grader

To be honest I really did not enjoy her or the class. The lectures were long and boring. The tests are strictly essay questions. She wasn't a bit helpful for me, and when I tried to talk to her after class a bit about a test and tried to explain my test anxiety I'm trying to work through she just laughed at me. Some like her but definitely not me..

The lectures are pretty boring, but if you go to class and take notes you will do well on the tests. Plus she gives the tests to you before hand so you know what to study.

I also took US to 1865 from her and I really liked it, sure lectures are sometimes boring but aren't all lectures? And she really tries to make it fun by showing a video clip almost every class period. There's a lot of reading but if you just pay attention to the lecture you can get by without readi
