Dr. Forbes is an amazing composer, director, professor and mentor. He loves what he does and never thinks negatively towards his career. He always makes sure his students are taken care of and know their music/conducting skills that they need!! Being under the direction of him in Tudor Voices is an awesome experience and definitely would recommend!

I have been in Chamber Chorale with him, and he is an extraordinary director, musician, and person. He creates a light hearted atmosphere while encouraging us to create amazing music. He also goes out of his way to plan fun and interesting tours for us each year. I couldn't have asked for a better college choir experience.

I've heard Dr. Forbes is an incredible professor with other classes--but for Vocal Methods he was awful. He just didn't care enough about it, and punished us all with Cs. He also didn't show up to 1/3 of the class periods, and never told us. Most of the time, he was down the hall in his office.

Dr. Forbes is truly concerned with student progress. I was fortunate enough to be in two of his choirs - Women's Ensemble and Chamber Chorale. Dr. Forbes has a passion for choral music that inspires those around him. Additionally, he is truly one of the nicest professors you will work with.

This guy is amazing- I am a music education major, and secondary methods is a huge core class for us. Never have I learned so much in a class that I will be able to apply to my career after I leave college. I am also in Chamber Chorale with him, and he truly makes our choir what it is.

He was soo unfair to me. He called me back in once but let all the other girls sing their own part, asked me to sing once. Then when everyone else got a chance to see if they matched voice parts, he NEVER GAVE ME That chance. Just went past me like it was a mistake he called me back in. He never gave me the time of day, and could care less what I do...Its obvious he is not our favorite
