He is very slow, but his class is so easy. It takes a while to get through lecture because he's so boring but his class is very easy if you aren't interested in history at all.

Great class, I would recommend. He talks slow, but that allows you to write everything he says; his tests are identical to what he says in class. Just take notes and look over them to get a good grade. He is a good man.

He is a good hearted old man. Tries to crack jokes to the class but for some reason noone gets them..so just laugh and get on his good side! for this class you need no book other than the one that he wrote. all you have to do to make an A/B is write down everything he says word for word and study it before the test...no handouts no projects, notes!

NOT RECOMMENDED! Class is boring and he does not give review for the test. You need to read his book and take a test over it. He adds 1 point to your final average if you show up to every class.

Super easy class. You just have to attend class to take notes. His test is basically over the class notes. Make you write three and half page essay on the test. Has a monotone voice and does not hear very well.

GREAT TEACHER! You have 5 tests. One is a book exam that you can use on the test. The others are extremely easy. You have to write an essay during the tests, but if you do well on the first one you can be exempt from all the other essays. Such an easy class, and such a great teacher! Take him for sure. :)

Easy class. Sit near the front so you can hear better. Tests come straight from his lectures and he talks slowly so it's easy to write everything down - I never used the textbook. You will need to buy his book for the (open) book exam. No homework! If you never miss a class you get 5 points added to your final overall grade. Very nice man!

Dr. Shelton has been teaching for a long time, I think. If history isn't your subject, you'll find this class VERY boring. He's very slow in teaching, very repetative. But, his tests come straight from his notes, no quizzes, lots of films, and we never used the book. The book exam is easy. I won't take him again though, because I didn't learn much.

He's very boring and repeats himself a lot. Poor guy fell asleep in mid-sentence and started drooling on someone's paper. His class is very boring, lectures are some what slow, and he tests are mainly on his lectures, the book that is issued, and the hand outs that are given. I wouldn't recommend this professor to anyone who needs an up beat prof.

I wouldnt recommend him hes old and hard to follow. His lectures start quietly then he will end up shouting and drooling everywhere.Dont ask questions because you will have to repeat it 50 times before he hears you...then he'll answer something you didnt even ask. gives extra credit. dont use the book he only test off exactly what he says in class.

dr. shelton talks very slow so its easy to takes notes. when it comes to tests the multiple choice part is very tricky. when you try to ask him questions he will answer something totally different than what you asked. you have to reword the question many times and finally after like the 4th time asking the question he answers it. he should retire.

Super easy class. Test mostly from class notes. Essay after each test but if you make an A on the first one, you don't have to take anymore. Every 3rd day is a film. Has a monotone voice and can get boring but easy if you can work through it. Plenty of extra credit available. No reason not to get an A

This man is sooooo sweet and he means well, but he's such a monotone! Somehow you can still tell he's very passionate about history and knows his stuff. I always felt bad for falling asleep in his class. Tests are multiple choice and if you do good on the first essays then you're exempt from the rest. Extra credit is offered.
