Doc Heisdorffer is so enthusiastic and hilarious. He calls you out in class if you are wrong, which sometimes is upsetting, but he does it to be fun and laugh with you. I really enjoy him, and enjoy his class. He grades you on how much you've learned, not by the standard right/wrong method. Love it

I had a very difficult time with his class. I took German Film not for an easy A, but to broaden my horizon. There is a lot of films to watch, and movies to analyze. He grades really difficult and writes all over in pink pen. I regret taking this class.

This professor likes to have fun in the classroom. He keeps the class interesting and you learn a lot. He is willing to help and answer any questions or concerns you have. Treat him with respect and you will earn his respect. Do the homework and be prepared for classroom work cause if you don't he will call you on it.

I've had my Heisdorffer for German 101-301. He is a very tough professor, but he will keep you interested the best he can. Study your ass of, and he won't get mad at you. That's my only advice.

I found him to be a very fun and interesting teacher. He will make you try in attempt to learn the language so if you think you can just blow by this class your wrong, but again i felt that he made learning fun as he is quick witted and down to earth.
