The professor herself was nice but she did not know much about the class. She was given this class last minute so she didn't write the tests herself (used the ones from the previous professor). She also doesn't give detailed study guides so be expected to know everything. Such a bummer to have paid so much money for this class to not learn anything

I would NOT recommend taking this course with her or any course, to be frank. She did not know this subject and had to repeatedly google terms for us to learn. She didn't write the tests, didn't assign any of the readings herself, and seemed confused the entire semester. She was a nice person, but as a professor, she lacked greatly.

First time teaching Com in the Legal Arena but I really like her as a person and I had a lot of fun in the class. Two tests, a paper, and a legal simulation which seemed daunting but was more of participation.

Do not take her class. She truly let my class down. Everyone except 2 people got Ds and Fs on our midterm... so clearly something's wrong with her teaching style. She takes points off for extremely petty things. If you're not a good public speaker, good luck. You'll be graded on a 4 minute speech, a 7 minute speech, a midterm and a final.

Prof. Blair is amazing!! She truly cares about her students success in public speaking. She was a fill-in teacher away from Fullerton; the whole semester was great. She made speaking in front of class a breeze with Excellent feedback. She is extremely smart, and fully understands the stresses that come along with public speaking. Take her class..

Heather is really great, I really liked the way she taught the class and she's pretty funny. She does grade on a few things but she offers extra credit sometimes. We have 2 tests make sure you prepare and study for the them, because they do count for a most of your grade. If you go over your notes and read the book you're set.

She is very understanding and tries to help as much as she can (if you ask for it). Her tests take some getting used to (multiple choice and short answer) and you definitely have to read in order to prepare for them. If she likes the class she might let you use the book for reference for a portion of the exams and extra credit was not too difficult

Had her freshman year. Don't necessarily like her attitude. Everything else she did was pretty fair, but the cultural artifact assignment messed me up because I didn't have much to talk about. I did bad in the oral presentation which brought me from an A to a B. Just read the book, take notes, do homework, study, and prepare for the presentation.

She grades really hard, but she is more than willing to help you out. She's super nice if you talk to her outside of class. Attendance is very important! I worked my butt off to get an A- but i learned a lot

This class was pretty easy. If you want to pass, show up for class and take notes. When you have speeches, work on them and you should be fine. The only hard part of the class was the midterm. Much of the time was focused on speeches, didn't really have time to focus on the midterm.

She's a good teacher, she has a passion for the subject she teaches, and is very rational. The tests are notes-based, but it requires extensive study/recollection. I found her examples of concepts to be strange, best thing to do in this class is ask questions (if lacking comprehension).

We had 4 major speeches each was at least 6 minutes long. The one test that we had was difficult. The final was an emailed take home. Not enough time to work on speeches- she collected them early and they were assigned one right after the other. Be loud, don't say uh or um, move around, gesture, etc. when presenting your speeches- you'll get an A/B

I don't feel like I've learned anything in this class. I could probably blame my fellow students just as much, but I shouldn't be surprised every time I see a grade from her. She is also a bit unforgiving when it comes to time restraints and expects students to teach themselves, while she just critiques your work. Does help when asked though.

This class is very fun and interesting. You have a fair amount of homework, notes, lectures to do in the class. You watch a lot of movies, and only have to do one major group speech. Tests are fair...if you study her notes and the book your good...She likes to talk a lot about her personal life which gets annoying.but class is cool

Very clear on presentations and lectures. Tests are pretty hard but she curves it as well as offering extra credit now and then. Very fun activities and only one big speech project that's not that hard at all. Pretty cute too.
