I thoroughly enjoyed this class with Professor Hodges. Not only does he explain himself well, but he also encourages his students to be as creative as possible. It isn't necessary to read all of the books, but they are very very good to anyway. Sweetest professor by far.

Professor Hodges is a really laid back guy. He's semi-retired (professor emeritus) and he just really loves his material. You can ace the class with sparknotes only. He requires about 5 two-page papers (double spaced) but you are guaranteed an A+++ on all of them. You have to try actively to get lower than an A in the class.

Sweetest old man you will ever meet! He goes out of his way to accomodate students in any way he can. Very easy grader, you could never open a book and still get an A, but the books are great reads and worth the time. Just listening to his stories and life experience makes the class.My favorite class I've taken hands down

the CUTEST old man ever! he really loves his students, though his lectures can be a bit boring. you dont have to read all the books, one in every 3 or 4 is enough, as long as you turn in your papers and show up for class, you get a guaranteed A... and no matter how bad your papers are, he'll still say they're excellent.

Easy class and very enjoyable, he is one of the coolest and nicest old men you will ever meet. Basically a guaranteed A if you turn in the assignments which are very easy. I usually received a grade of excellent, excellent, excellent, so very good on my papers. He is sometimes boring, but very intelligent, if bored in class just read a book.

The easiest honor class i can think of. If you want to learn anything do not take this class, but if you like easy A's then take it. He is the nicest old man in the world, but his classes made me want to sleep every time. Class is "mandatory" for grade but he gives everyone A's in his class... literally.

great guy, loved going to his class cause he's a joy to be around. i took his class 3 years ago and have very fond memories. easy material, and he doesn't feel the need to denigrade students work - he likes it all. honors students should def take one of his classes.

He's pretty much the nicest man ever. He really cares about the students and calls everyone his children by the end of the semester. Ask him to tell you some of his stories; he's done some pretty cool things. Definitely a boost for your writing self-esteem.

A great, teddy bear of a man. Great guy, and extremely nice. The class is a sure A, so long as you show up. The man is so nice it almost off sets the mind-numbing boredom that occasional strikes. Great guy.

nicest old man & teacher i've ever had. took both of his classes(which r set up exactly the same but w/dif. litterary works)& wish that i could have him 4 all my honors classes. truly loves his students & his work. also loves latin & telling stories. can be boring in lecture but going makes him love u & get a A even easier, if that were possible
