Comment:

Bower is very nice but easily annoyed. Her study guides are sometimes hard to fill out because she doesn't do many pwpts and it's hard to look through the textbook sometimes. She gets annoyed when you ask about whats on the test and looks for specific things on tests. She also takes forever to grade. You can tell she cares about teaching early int.

This class could have been way more interesting than she made it. She gives study guides for tests but includes extra information on her tests that aren't on the study guide. She is kind of disorganized and we weren't able to finish all the presentations at the end of the semester.

Wendy seems really busy and often times she is too distracted for you to understand her. If you study, the tests aren't too bad. 2 papers but one is optional for non-cmd majors. quizzes are meant to boost your grade. randomly takes attendance

This was a great class just a terrible professor. It takes over a month for her to grade exams and our final grades were not posted by the deadline and still aren't. She is not very clear about assignments either.

She seems like a great professor but I wouldn't know from taking her class. She has missed a lot of class and puts other work before our class. It takes over a month for her to grade exams and she is very disorganized. I think she needs a TA. A bit disappointed because I was looking forward to this class.

Repeats the same topic numerous times over the course for weeks, which gets boring after a while. It also causes the professor to rush through other topics, which appear on the exam. Read the textbook, and you'll be fine.

Enjoyed the class overall. Prof. Bower goes over things numerous times to clarify. Her TA, was very helpful during her office hours. Two papers due for the class, I personally wish they were worth more than 5% of the grade because they were a lot of work. Tests are long, but not too bad. As long as you put effort in and study you will do very well.

Extremely tough grader, doesn't allow for any makeups under any circumstances, asks for answers that are much too specific on exams, and is seriously unclear and disorganized and untimely. I know she has a lot going on but if that's the case she shouldn't be teaching a class, just sticking to being CMD department head. This class is rough.

Bower is the best. She's the department head, and such a great professor. She is so interesting and funny, and I really enjoyed her teaching style. She says a lot of important info that isn't on her slides, but her voice is really easy to listen to, so taking notes in her class isn't hard at all. Highly recommend!

Prof. Bower was great. Her lectures were always enjoyable, though she was usually late. She gave me a lot of feedback on the final project. She's very understanding as long as you put the effort in.

Loved the class and the Professor. Very interesting material, and it is all presentable very comprehensibly. If you pay attention in class,if will show on your tests score. The tests are very fair. She refers to the text a lot but even though I have it I personally have only flipped through it; I find her notes much more concise and effective.

Highly recommended. I have taken two courses with her and will try to take any other ones she offers. Her tests are very fair, she provides a study sheet and holds review sessions. If you pay attention in class or study independently, you should do fine. I love this class and Professor Bower is an amazing teacher, she's very passionate about SLP.

I like Professor Bower, however she does pick favorites. She also gets ridiculous when she talks about graduate school--she says we are all being crazy and stressing out too much, but talking to her only increases stress levels!

AMAZING professor. One of my favorites. :) Idk what people are talking about she is veryy interesting. She always tells stories about her clients as an SLP and we watch a lot of youtube videos. Shes so enthusiastic and cheerful.

good prof-always making jokes but very hard tests...STUDY...lectures are a little long but if you are interested in the subject, she's the one to go to.
