Do not take him. Tests are worth 80% of your grade. Gives out practice exams but nothing like the real exam. Most of the class failed the first two tests. He goes through his powerpoint extremely fast and spends more time on his personal stories rather than teaching.

Not as hard as people say it is. Read the book before lectures and you'll do fine. He gets irritated when people ask questions that are easily answered by the book because he expects you to read before class. He tells you what to study for test. Straight up test questions not confusing like Zaidi.

Very challenging class. Lectures are pointless, they are simply a review of some key terms in the chapter and a couple of the problems in the book. Exams are wildly different than material presented in class. Kohlmeyer runs class like a dictator - no electronics allowed, no food/drinks allowed, must refer to him as "Doctor", etc. Try to avoid.

Definitely HARD! you REALLY have to STUDY a LOT!!! His tests are very hard but you only have to pass 1 out of 4 to pass the class. He does get irritated easily when students ask questions. But most importantly NEVER call him "professor," or you will be sorry. Always call him "DR. KOHLMEYER." You've been warned.

I hated every minute of the class. He lectures only a small fraction of what he covers on exams. Gets questions from test banks but does't even proofread them to remove any ambiguities. Don't count on catching him during office hours - he was never there. I passed but didn't really learn anything from him. I'll never take him again.

I was not impressed at all. Granted, it was his first semester at the school but not his first semester teaching. He offers very little guidance and generally when you ask questions, he says something along the lines of "I don't want to slow the class down by answering questions." Just read the book and do ALL the homework and you should pass.

I took this course through distance education. This class was all discussion boards and tests. There weren't many deadlines, which was nice, but the tests were very difficult. The questions were jumbled between chapters, and you were not allowed a formula sheet for most tests.

This class is ridiculous. Kohlmeyer does not teach, rather he puts solutions on the board for you to copy down and learn on your own. Exams are ridiculous. I have so many accounting professors willing to help and he is not one of them. I will end with a B but over many sleepless nights and way too much stress.

He was very helpful whenever I had questions in the class. My husband was deployed and led to me having a very bad sleep schedule for his early class and he worked with me on that a lot. Most who do not like the class do not do the homework thoroughly. Classwork = easy, homework = hard, therefore, test = prepared for.

this guy is useless. not helpful and a jerk. the material he teaches in class is basic and then drops the hammer on you during the exam and your left wondering where did this come from. would avoid if possible.

His class wasn't the easiest but he provided materials to succeed. Tests are hard but he replaced the lowest test grade with your final grade so that was helpful. Earning an A is possible if you work hard! He was extremely late about posting all test grades including the final. The final grades were up 3 days after the school's deadline. Nice guy!

He would not allow students to review exams or go over them with students. Very tough exams. Showed favortism to some students when I took his face to face class. I had to drop and decided to take him online since I already knew his style and had my notes and from the previous semester. I thought better the evil I do know than the evil I don't.

(Class was DE) This was a tough class with difficult exams, but he provided all the needed materials to excel. Had the book, with reading assignments, practice homework, practice tests, a list of objectives for the test, powerpoint slides. Can't go wrong. Would recommend with a word of caution that you be ready to do some work!

It was an online class, so there is only so much the professor can do to teach the material. He assigned reading, had PowerPoints, gave homework and practice exams with the solutions for both, and had a list of objectives to know for the exams. Couldn't ask for more. It was summer semester so it was really tough with the condensed semester...

The tests are extremely hard and require frequent use of Algebra to work out the obscure word problems. His answer to nearly any question is, ?review the power point slides and read the chapter again.? When asked to review the first exam. His answer was that he didn?t have the time to do so. He has very little value to add. Not Recommended!
