I took a physics class for non-majors with Dr. Marsh (in 1993), and it was one of my favorite classes in college! Marsh was supremely knowledgable and, from classical mechanics to chaos theory, made learning fun.

Dr.Marsh is absent minded, but a really nice guy.He really wants you to get excited about physics and does his best to make it interesting.Overall he's a good teacher,but sometimes he had a hard time explaing things in a way the class could understand it.(This may be more due to the nature of the subject than a reflection of his teaching abilities)

Brilliant instructor with a great knack for teaching! This man is truly an actor and entertainer that keeps the class very interesting. He has a whole world of knowledge and experience and is very down to earth. It would be a pleasure to have him as an instructor again!!! A+

I took Physics for Non-Majors with Marsh. The class was utterly fascinating covering theory from classical to chaos and quantum. I still have the class notes and enjoy rereading them. Marsh encouraged you to ask any question relating to physics whatsoever and did an excellent job of answering every one. Knowledgable, helpful, and interesting prof.

I'm an A/B student in ALL my classes. Got an "F" in this class. I even bought the solution manual to help, I didn't have a problem doing the problems/homework. Impossible tests. Could have aced the tests if I could've brought my own formula sheet.

WHAT?!? This guy allegedly has a PhD from John Hopkins, but he doesn't seem to have a clue. He comes in with that hat and smoke, and looks like he doesn't have a clue. After a lecture, it doesnt get any better. Thank goodness I wasn't a physics major after taking this guy!
