Comment:
Professor Flavin is by far one of the best professors I have taken at Fordham. Extremely passionate about what she teaches and definitely knows what she is talking about. Not an easy "A" class but the readings are definitely do-able and she helps you a lot with the final paper which determines a majority of your overall grade.

Very sweet! Would recommend taking. GCJ is readings, BB post, group discussions, and 1 paper. Don't always have to do readings bc presentations summarize readings to discuss. Open to all opinions in class. Tough grader for paper but that is to improve writing. Paper is not easy A. Have to pick a good topic, work hard, and go to her for advice.

She has very high expectations and is a tough grader but if you're engaged you will take away a lot from her class. She does go through the powerpoints too quickly to take notes most of the time, which gets annoying. I thought her class was really interesting and the information has stuck with me, but it is definitely not an "easy A"

I learned so much from her class, and Prof Flavin applies the theories we read and discuss in the way she designs the class. For a good grade you have to keep up with the many assignments, but this class is so worth the work. So much of what I thought I already knew about the world was challenged over the semester.

I dont know if the two above comments have actually taken a class with her, but DO NOT. Doesnt put powerpoints online, and RUNS through them in class. She will RIP papers to shreds, but not give valuable feedback. Always thinks someone's out to get her, which could be because of the grades she gives out. Literally goes off on tangents all the time

She is a fair professor, and her class is by far the most enjoyable class I have ever attended. Most people received relatively lower grades, but if u read the textbook once and memorize her class notes you will get a B+ minimum. Loved this class.

She really cares about her students! She's a tough grader because she has high standards but if you show her that you try she'll give you a good grade. Personal relationship will also increase your grade.
