Comment:
Professor Fleisher is a good professor if you're ok with lecture-style teaching. While he uses some visuals, they are infrequent. He is experienced and quite knowledgeable. Make sure you read the textbook chapters he assigns. His quizzes are straightforward, but study. Just a paper, midterm, and final. He's retiring after fall '18 semester.

I love this professor. You can tell he really cares about political science and knows his stuff. You have to work hard and the readings are long but if you do the work then you will be fine. Highly recommend if you are really interested in politics.

Won't be taking him again. It is very unclear where you stand in the class and gives grades like C+/B- which is very annoying. You need the books. He grades so harshly it is difficult to do well.

Fleisher knows so much about the topic that he teaches. He absolutely keeps the classes interesting and is funny and approachable. He gives time before lecturing to answer any political questions we have. Lots of reading, but I absolutely reccomend his classes. You will learn and enjoy it.

Intro to Politics. Rich was funny but class was long and a bit dry at times. Tests were hard and the readings are extremely important. You are expected to participate, but people in the class get competitive. Rich is a bit of a tough grader. If you are looking for an easy class, keep looking. If you do well with lectures this class will be fine.

Good guy. Makes you work for your grades. Extremely vigilant about cheating or copying papers, he actually reported someone to the dean in my class last semester. But besides that he is an excellent teacher who stirs up conversations. He doesn't tolerate less then what he thinks you are capable of and rewards those who work.

Professor Fleisher is a balanced professor. His lectures can be quite dry and boring but the interesting topic of Environmental Politics itself makes up for it. He expects you to read a lot during the semester, but he will provide you with questions for the midterm and final before hand. Participate, visit office hours and ASK FOR HELP IF NEEDED!
