Dr.McLachlin can be intimidating, but she's a helpful person. Her Neuro class was very interesting, and I felt like I learned a lot, but I had to put in a lot of work for that. Her class was early, so it was hard to stay awake and alert, but she's clear and gives a lot of bonus, and makes it easy to succeed if you put some work into it!

She is an excellent teacher. She seems stern at the get go, but she's a good person and very approachable. If you have questions, she is happy to answer in class or in her office while not making you feel stupid. Her tests are difficult and never assume that the smallest detail doesn't matter. Her lectures are fun and contain realworld applications

I really liked this class and Dr. McLachlin. She knows her material, and it is clear that she enjoys what she is doing. This is not an easy class, but if you go to lecture, pay attention, take detailed notes,READ THE BOOK, and put in some effort, you will do fine. This is also a great class to take before the MCAT.

Her tests are HARD. It consists of Multiple choice, T/F, fill in the blanks, Short answer, Diagram labeling...everything. Fill in the blanks killed me on the tests. Her tests are more for preparing you to become a doctor the next day!!! She actually thinks her students LIKE her. Haha. Thats bull.

I have found Dr. McLachlin to be a good teacher who really knows her subject. She makes physiology interesting. Tests are reasonable, but definitely be studying class notes way far ahead of the tests, as she covers a lot of material quickly.

Not a good teacher, very unhelpful, just reads the slides to students. To do well study the pictures and diagrams in the text book as well as the captions with them and definitions of bolded terms. This got me an A in the course.

Fairly challenging course in terms of memorizing. A lotta of stuff to memorize. Go to class and take notes on the slides. Then memorize EVERYTHING in those notes including every picture and every minute detail b/c it will be on the test. If you don't understand, then read the book. Good luck! :)

She has a bad reputation unfairly. She is simply a no-nonsense individual. One-to-one she is very pleasant, despite her seemingly harsh demeanor in lecture. Making an A in her class is easy if you stay on top of studying and attend lecture. She gives bonus quizes that are just extra points and give you a preview of her testing style.

As a senior, I have worked with a lot of teachers. She is probably the one of the rudest, unhelpful, unwilling to work with you, etc. Not a bad class though, but makes students feel stupid, doesn't like to answer questions, and is unpleasant during the whole experience. Not too hard, though.

Most helpful person I've had at the University, but don't try to BS her! As an advisor she knows more than God! I feel like she really cares if I make it or not. Tells it like it is and is always available. Really knows what's going on, and if you ask her something she doesn't know, she'll do her damnest to get youthe answer. Great teacher!

The only reason I liked this class was for the enjoyment of learning the material and kicking her tests in the ass. I had to study my ass off, but it was very rewarding. If you study hard you can get the grade you want. Reading the book is a must...it's what got me through.

She was a great teacher. The class of course was hard but if you listen to Dr. McLachlin and study the material then you will do fine. The course was difficult only because there is alot of material to cover and that means alot of reading.
