Keith is a super wacky dude but you definitely have a good time in his class. He does a great job teaching finding great ways to engage the students in creative ways. Everything you need for the class is in the lectures so as long as you go to those and take good notes you're solid.

After taking Ecology, i feel like this should be a mandatory class which is why i would recommend it. However Cunningham does not make this easy, but he will work with you and he wants you to pass. Go to his office hours, he's there for you The tests are hard and he lectures the entire 2 hrs, the labs are more peer based. But great prof and class!

Keith is an incredibly intellectual & passionate instructor; class is not easy. Lot of reading AND PRINTING. Lecture AND lab exams. Do the reading, homework, attend office hours, and utilize study groups. Everyone in my class wanted to take more classes from him, even if it wasn't in their major to. His class changed my life, might change major.

This is the best class I have taken at Mira Costa. It is hard, but so worth it. Probably will be the most influential class I take in my lifetime. Keith is such an excellent teacher. He gives you every opportunity to succeed, and really gets to know his students and their learning methods individually. Plus, the labs were awesome!

Difficult class but Keith does everything he can to make sure you get a good grade. He is really passionate and cares about his students and the criteria which is why the class is so interesting. Lots of field trips and printing! Definitely the hardest but also the most enjoyable class I've taken at Mira Costa! :)

One of the best professors I've had thus far. Exams are difficult, lectures can be a bit repetitiveunclear at times, and you'll have to print more in this class than in all of your other ones combined, but he's uber passionate about what he teaches. Quite a thing to behold. Show up on time, pay attention, take good notes, study, you'll be fine.

This is not an easy class, lots of information to absorb. However it is do able, keep up with lecture notes and go to his office hours. All of the exam questions are critical thinking based so you have to understand. The good thing is he tests only off his lecture material. Oh and LOTS OF PRINTOUTS.

Keith is a dedicated teacher which is why the class is so challenging. If you come to class pay attention, study and do the work you will go well. This class is not for someone who doesn't pay attention and likes to slack off. I came to this class with an interest but left with an understanding and what I learned will stick with me.

Keith is a really nice guy, he cares about his students and is passionate about what he does. However, it's really hard to keep up with everything he says and the tests are beyond hard. Tests are based off his complex notes and not the textbook/homework.

I am a bio major and thought the class was challenging. However, what I got from this class will stay with me forever. Keith is so passionate and knowledgeable about the classes that he teaches. He curves the class and is really helpful during lab hours. He really wants his students to succeed without giving grades away. Highly recommended.

You get what you put into this class, in other words to all the people that gave this professor a poor rating, you probably fail at life. Do the homework, go to lectures, enjoy field labs, KEEP UP ON YOUR LABS, have a good attitude, and an open mind. You will take SO much from this class, Keith's a cool guy, attend office hours :)

Keith's class was awesome! Although his class may be tough but he is very clear about whats on the test. His field trips were always fun however the labs were difficult. The class is totally passable if you do the work even if your a horrible tester. This is college its not fun unless there is a little bit of a challenge. Hes my fav teacher at MCC!

The best class I've taken at Mira Costa. Keith is a great lecturer and all the field trip labs are fun. He really cares about and works hard for his students. But he expects you to work hard, too! The tests are tough and the lab follow ups are pretty extensive. I wouldn't recommend the class if you are just looking for an easy elective.

Important tips to succeeding in his class. - Do the homework in advance of the lecture, it really helps. The homework is the study guide. - If you don't understand a concept from the lecture, go to his office hours or the tutoring center & get it explained right away. Don't wait till the test happens. - Take awesome notes and DO NOT SKIP CLASS.

I took Keiths class expecting from all my peers for it to be the hardest class in the world. However, without evening buying a book, I learned alot, and got a great grade. As long as you keep good notes and ask questions, the class is of normal difficulty. Mr. Cunningham was always helpful and very passionate. Dont procastinate & pay attention.

Absolutely the worst professor on the planet! Terrible attitude! He jumps all over the place and confuses the topics. It was painful to sit through his lectures! Lab was just as bad. Avoid him at all costs!! Not for beginners!
