I did not love his lectures he talks fast. Can talk over your head but he doesnt mean to! So if youre struggling just ask! Hes really nice showing up to class is a priority. I didnt excel in his class but I still passed with a B for actively going. Very nice and understanding man!

One of the better professors I've had. He is a great guy and understands that his class may not come before others for most students. Everything is done online which includes tests and quizzes. All of it is open book and open note which I loved. I would highly recommend him and this class to anyone who needs a humanities credit. Very easy A!

I really enjoyed Mr. Champlin's course. He is a fantastic teacher, but tends to talk over your head a little. He doesn't mind to go into further detail or speak to you after class. He grades super easy and gives great feedback so you leave understanding the material more. He just wants you to participate in the minimum and give some effort.

Professor Champlin is definitely my favorite professor. He caused me to fall in love with philosophy, as well as see the world in a different way. His class drew me in and made me feel so open to all kinds of new ideas. I will never forget him or the impact his teachings left on me. I recommend him 100%!!!

Overall very pleased with Champlin. Very passionate about philosophy and will do his best to accommodate you if something comes up. -Online exams are 100pts each and in essay format. Easy A's if you do a bit of research -In-class quizzes are 50pts each. Studyguide is broad, so go over everything. -Research paper is 3-5 pages. Good pad for grades

He was a great lecture Professor! Participation points do matter but in the end it helps you the most with your grade. He is pretty funny because he waits for everyone to laugh at his non-funny jokes. Overall I really liked his style of teaching. GIVES GREAT STUDY GUIDES FOR TESTS. And there is little grading points so this really matters for grade

The worst thing about him is his horrid monotone voice. He is nice and will work with you if you speak to him in advance and show up to class. best thing is that his tests are online at home and you have a couple of days to actually get around to taking it.

Dr. Champlin is a good professor and he is very understanding. He is nice and just wants you to have an understanding of the material. There's no homework, a couple of quizzes, and there are only two tests which are the midterm and the final. The tests both consist of two essays. There's one major presentation. Easy professor! Would take again

Such an amazing professor. Go to class, take notes, and you'll be fine. He's very easy to work with and understanding. Open minded and very real about things. This is a lecture class, but it is interesting! I would take the class again, Champlin really made me more interested in Philosophy!

I'm not sure how Rev. Champlain was teaching courses in the past but apparently he's changed it up because this class was incredibly easy. You do need to take notes to pass and you do need to show up but that's really all that's required of you. Could have been way, way worse.

I couldn't stand listening to Rev. Champlin's monotone voice drone on about philosophical perspectives for very long. I wanted to drop this class, but needed to keep it for my scholarships. The class consists of a ton of essays and one big group project. He is not very clear on directions. I regret not taking someone else.

I think he is a great teacher. He tries to make it interesting, and keeps a sense of humor. He tries to get students involved in discussion, and poses theories and makes you question yourself. I enjoy the class.
