Comment:

Took both Cntmp Mus Theory and Ear Training. Amazing person, he truly cares about his students. Knew him only 2 weeks and was already willing to write a reference for me. Funny as well, but his class bores me to death. Moves at a slow pace and Donovick gets distracted easily. Will spend weeks on one topic and uninvited guests come all the time.

I took the online class -great teacher and great class! Everything is very organized, answers emails quickly, and is happy to answer questions. By no means is this class a cake walk, but its not impossibly difficult either - very do able.

His music history class has too many quizzes.I remember he told me that I will get an A if I earned a 100%on my paper.I earned the grade,but my overall grade was a 89!I refused,had him open my lower-grade quizzes to redue,and earned an 90overal!He gives at least 2 weeks to make up for missing work.exam week he allows missing work to be re-earned.

too many quizzes!Thank goodness they are not timed. Don't worry,he gives at least two weeks at a time to make up for missing work. I understand why that person was angry about the B.Even if you do not know music, the course is about composers, terms,what they wrote, bios, and modern artists.Interesting class.There is some history(not boring)to.

I took this class online during the summer where I also took 3 other classes. This was supposed to have been my easiest A class, but I got an B. In each weekly unit, there are 5 to 9 ch's to complete. Each chapt, there's a quiz, sometimes a listening quiz, and a test. you also have a journal. So it was alot of work. And covers the whole book!

I love this professor!he is genuinely kind and caring.there are quizzes at the end of every chap,flash cards with the website for on-line theory.this makes the quizzes an easy 100%.he is very helpful,and jazz piano is great.he will even give extra work if you fail an assignment.for piano,he is very flexible.

The teacher was fabulous and totally helpful. The downside is that you take a TON of quizzes. It's redundant and too much. For example, you get a chapter Quiz and then a unit quiz for all the chapters in the unit. By the end of the week you've answered 200 questions for about 20 pages of text. It's overkill. Overall fun class!
