TAKE HIM IF YOU CAN !!! Even if online is an option, go to his class. He cares so much about his students and education and people in general. He talks about real issues with education and he makes passing the tests super easy (got 104 and studied the day of the test lol). He's like your grandpa who tells great stories and cancels class a lot.

Professor McKernan is one interesting man. He frequently talks about living in Ireland and teaching in a bunch of different countries. His class is kind of boring because it's just a lecture; however, his 4 exams are super easy because there's a study guide and gives you all the answers. If you fail the exam, you get a second chance at it!

If you learn well from lecture style courses, then this is a great class to take. Professor McKernan is so sweet, and easy to talk to if you're having any issues. He teaches with a mastery approach to teaching, so you take two versions of each test and keep the highest of the two. I definitely recommend taking him!

His class is only lecture. So its boring but go to class because his tests are on his notes and takes attendance. He gives great study guides, gives second chances on tests and he is a real sweet man. This class is WI and only had to write one paper. Take him!

Class is super boring, and i would say do not go but he does take attendance! super easy class, you have the opportunity to take the test again and he goes over the answers to the first test and you have a study guide so there is no reason not to pass the second test! you do have to write one paper but its very easy! TAKE HIM!

Dr. McKernan is a very helpful and friendly professor. Sometimes the material can be repetitive and monotonous, but it is easy to tell he loves teaching and wants his students to succeed. He takes attendance every class. Lenient with grading and allows a retest for every test we take. Just follow studyguides and you will do fine.

Very boring class. Uses the books exams. You get to take every exam twice and he keeps your better grade. Each exam has extra credit answers. He gives you study guides. You have to write one short paper (5 pages). Easy A.

The subject is boring but not as boring as him talking about Ireland all the time. The test are not that hard. You actually take two test on the section. He takes the highest grade. There is a paper but it is not that bad. He gives study guides and they are like the test!

Nice man and wanted all of his students to do well! Lectures every class and is somewhat boring. Takes attendace, but it is very helpful if you are in between letter grades, he will give you the higher one if you were there. Good guy, just boring!

the class itself wasn't too hard, but he was the most boring teacher! i thought it was ironic that he was teaching us how to teach, when he can't even teach himself! i fall asleep just about every day in his class..he even seems confused sometimes as to what he's doing there.

Really nice guy. He really and truly cares about every one of his students. Its been said before, but you're allowed to retake every test using his "mastery learning" method. I love it, and when I become a teacher, I will more than likely adopt that method

This class was a broing one but it was very easy. He allows you to retake each test and goes over the test you took before which is basically the same as the make-up test. He is a nice guy, gives you study guides and only gives you one paper. I would recommend him.

Nice guy who definitely expresses his opinions. Only 1 paper which was nice compared to what I heard about other teachers in this course. He's kind of all over the place, so just review the study guides and you may pull an A. You can retake every test but the final! (Different test though).

if you have to take him as a night class, dont. he is so boring. on the flip side, he does let u retake every exam. there are only 4 and he goes over the whole exam right before the test. real nice guy, but so freakin boring. if have ADD and can draw for a few hours, i would take him, if not dont

He is a very good teacher.He gives out study guides for the test on goes over them and he gives you a second chance to pass the test if you don't pass it the first time. The tests are multiple choice.he explains every thing and is very helpful.He's an excellent teacher.
