He's a great guy, honestly one of the best profs I've had at UST. Even though econ is not my strong suit, his class was manageable, and it wasn't nearly as confusing as I thought it would be. Very willing to help students succeed.

It's too bad that he's retiring. Clear, supportive, and always willing to meet with his students. I had a great couple of classes with him. Happy retirement Jim!

Jim was one of the best profs I've had so far at UST. 3 tests, 1 paper, and a final make up your grade. Gives you old tests as study guides which are nearly identical to the exam. If you do those, you wont finish with anything less than a B. I HIGHLY recommend taking him for your general econ class. I'm bad at econ but his class is so easy!!

Class can be boring at times but he really cares about everyone doing well. Go to office hours, he is super nice and is always willing to answer any question you have! The study guides and old tests that he provides for study material are really helpful! Only three tests, no homework so studying for the tests is crucial! I highly recommend him!

If you enjoy sleeping in class, take Mr. Vincent. The guy is so boring that i'd rather watch paint dry. He gives the worst feedback and tells the stupidest stories. Be prepared to teach yourself everything.

Super nice teacher. Very helpful if you go to office hours or after class and ask. His tests are hard and theres only 3 and a final. Gives study guides which are very helpful. No homework. Long lectures but he tries his best to make sure you understand.

Vincent is a very thorough teacher. It takes him a while to get to his point and to answer your questions but he wants everyone to do well and makes sure everyone is on the right track and understands before we leave. You do not need the textbook unless you miss class. No homework but study guides that are optional.

I didn't take him for principles so I don't know how he is there, but based on what I've read, he's a different ballpark in econometrics. In what should be a deeply thorough course, most students aren't certain why we are doing what we are doing. Strange tests, and a long paper.

Great Prof. Has his own website (doesn't use blackboard). Pretty straight forward class. Maybe boring at times. Study guides are old versions of his tests. He is willing to help you out whenever you need it.

Jim is the man! There is 3 tests, a final, and a final paper. He gives you a practice test that is almost exactly like the real test, just different numbers. No homework. Try and make it too class cause everything he talks about usually is on the test. The textbook sat on my floor in my room almost all semester-i used it probably twice.

If you're an A/B student in HS, it will be basically taking another HS class. Look over his previous exams that he posts for you the week before your exam, they are basically the same. You have to try not to do well to not do well. Dry to listen to but what econ prof isn't. Not a tough class at all just listen in class and you dont need to read.
