Amazing teacher. Super funny and helpful. No final. 4 papers that shes more than willing to help with. She doesnt believe in plagarizing on yourself you can use your stuff so long as its oked. Online and inclass quizzes that are mostly open book/note. Gives extra credit for not missing any classes. Takes attendence. I would definatly take her again

Prof Cook is very upfront and honest about what you have to do in her class. Those that attend class and put real effort into the readings and papers will find it fun and enjoyable. Group work is required and the groups are assigned so hope that you get a good group to work with.

She is very funni at times. She gives quizzes that are common sense, you will need to books which is the PSM and bedford reader. She wants to help you understand what she's talking about, you will enjoy her.

This class was great. She makes it easy to maintain a good grade (there are 1000 points total) and gives little 10pt. quizzes here and there over daily reading. Encourages creative thinking with open, interpretive essay tpics. She was also funny and relatable. I def. recommend her!

she is a really good teacher. it is really easy to get an A if you just do the work. she allows up to 8 absences which is 4 weeks of class. we watched pink floyds the wall in class and get to read shawshank and cuckoos nest. 3 essays are also required but thats it! take her you wont regret it :)

mrs cook is amazing. wish i woulda taken 180 with her. 3 papers, no final exam . just read shawshank redemption and some other book. i got a couple C's on the papers but did all the extra credit and ended up with an easy A. great teacher, very funny highly recommend

She is hilariouis! The class isnt too hard and the books are an easy read. If you read you get easy As on the quizes and tests. You do have a lot of writing assignments but you have a lot of freedom to do something interesting to you.

Super nice prof. Plus she cancels class a bit, which is a welcome surprise. Her papers are way cool too, no 15 page soph thesis like some other eng 280 teachers. Just three papers (4-6 page, and i think 2 6-8 pages).

Comment:

Best english teacher I've ever had. She admires the fact that each writer has their own writing style and doesn't care about stupid writing rules that make no sense. You'll have to email her some email assignments every once in a while, but if you forget to, she gives you an entire extra week to do it without penalty. Very helpful and very funny.

definitely the COOLEST teacher i've ever had. she was hilarious & sooooooo nice. essay topics were really interesting and actually fun to write. i dont normally like english classes but i'd take some more classes just to have her again.
