This class is insanely hard. Papers are short and easy, but he gives out sheets of possible essay questions and says he expects 2.5-3 hours of Prep. every night before class. This class will keep you busy all semester esp. if you don't have enough time to devote to this high maintenance class. To top his grading scale is like some sort of code.

I found his class boring and had no interest in the subject matter. I got an A in his class with minimal effort on my part. He gives you the study guides on Wednesday and then quizzes you on them the following Monday. His papers aren't too bad. He acts bi polar because sometimes he works with you, but other times he will rip you apart. great prof.

Good teacher, class is never boring, makes subjects interesting I had him for this western civ 2 and took this class just cause he was teaching it. One of those guys who has been everywhere and done everything all at the same time, in a truthfulness. Take anything he teaches, has nothing but respect for cadets.

Gives you questions to study then one of those questions are on a weekly quiz. Then on exams he takes two form each chapter but you only have to answer one of the two. Papers are easy just have to make sure you know what your talking about. If you have problems talk to him. Great ret. Navy CAPT.

taken him a few times, very very hard prof. expect 150-200 pages of reading a week, and don't expect those pages to be out of one book. class requires ALOT of work. had a 10 page book report and a 10 page research paper due in the same week. great prof, smart guy, and alot smarter than me. BEWARE.
