First things first, this dude is really fat. He has one of those scooters from Vons so he can move around without actually walking. I'm at the final exam right now and he's no-showing again! Yes, again. He didn't come to the first exam and now he's blowing the make up exam off. This guy sucks on epic levels.

Howe is very well educated in computers and clearly has a passion for them.However,do not take him for this class.He encourages students to ask and answer questions but ridicules their responses,belittles those who have a hard time understanding English,& is inappropriate.ie-crude humor,allows students to turn in p.ornography, etc.

At first I was so scared to approach him to ask question (afraid to get yelled at) but at the end I found out, he was alright.He would tell you what is in the book if its good info or not. Pay attention with his vocabulary web page for exam.Very detailed homework(but was easy).Overall, he's a great teacher!

Comes off unfriendly at first, but you'll get used to his humor after a while and grow to appreciate his knowledge. Teaches things that are useful and important to know. I learned a lot from him. Homework assignments are easy. Tests require a little more effort; study definitions at the very least and you should be okay.

He's a grumpy person, it seems like. He will talk ALL class period (and more sometimes). Tests are kinda detailed, but I didn't do so hot on them but I did all the hw assignments and the extra credit and it got me by with an A-. If you like to net surf, it's REALLY hard to pay attention. Study definitions for tests, too!

Seems like a cool teacher with a great sense of humor. Tests are relatively easy and his homework is cake. He got real sick this semester so other than the first exam and few classes he hasn't come to class. He teaches the material well, but he gets a bad rep.

As long as you drop into class from time to time and complete the assignments the way he instructs you to, you're good. Obviously a beginner's class-- but did learn quite a few new things (excel, vocab, etc.) Don't need the book, save your money. Extra credit given. Professor's humor is dry, but overall it's a good class to fulfill that compsci req

Great refresher course, but if you're looking to learn something, you do need to pay attention. Spent the whole semester playing online, didn't pay attention to lectures, passed with an "A". Take another teacher if you are taking to learn anything. Personality is an acquired taste, vulgar, goes off on tangents, don't need book.

This is the worst professor I have ever had! He is so belligerant and extremely unhelpful. The class is hard to pay attention in and easy to get side tracked with the internet. The tests were ridiculous. They were mostly true and false that have one word in the sentence to make it T or F but the vocab was easy. Only plus: the homework was easy.

Very boring! All i did was go on the internet every class. Homework was simple, but make sure to follow each little detail(and he gives a lot of specifics). I failed every test, but ended up getting a B. I think it was because of the extra credit.

I have no idea how I passed this class. His lectures get so unbelievably boring and tedious, it's almost impossible to keep your attention. Oh yeah, and you have to pay attention if you want to have any idea what is going on on his tests.

Extremely boring class. The homework was pretty easy because of the step by step directions but he is a harsh grader. His tests are the worse. His lectures are tideous and long. Doesn't take attendance which is great but makes the feeling of ditching stronger.
