I took this professor for two semesters despite getting a high B the first semester even though I felt like I may have deserved an A. I will tell you this: If you want the bang for your buck, and you want to learn about the subject material and learn how to improve your writing skills then take this teacher, it will be worth your time. She is hard

Good luck. Never have I had a professor as tough as her, especially for English. Her grading technique for essays is very unclear. You will also be required to memorize 100 quotes for every test, who said, it, why and when. Her lectures are also incredibly boring and put you to sleep instantly. She is a funny person, but that does not help.

She is pretty funny and enthusiastic, which keeps things moving. The class isn't just lecture and she likes you to discuss things. The best thing about Dr. F is that she LOVES you to come for extra help during office hrs, which really improves your grade. Really committed to the Citadel and cadets.

Look, Im from Mike. Out of 6 papers, I only got one B, the rest were C's. Every body from Mike advises the lower classes not to take her. Her tests are also Extremely hard(50 true or false(not the easy kind)and essays). I barely passed with a C. She is crazy about Mike, but not crazy enough to show grade favoritism to Mike cadets. Hard class.

Yes she does favor Mike cadets, but it definitely does not reflect in their grades. Do not take, her tests are way too hard for non-english majors, you have to dedicate your life to this class for an A. Way too much homework
