Nelson is such a nice guy and you can tell he wants to help, but he mostly just reads from the textbook PowerPoint slides. The tests are fair, there's a built-in curve, and the final is optional. The material can be confusing, but Nelson is fair. Just don't expect much additional insight more than what's in the textbook.

Dr. Nelson's class is extremely fair and pretty easy for a BSCI105 class. The material is very dense and difficult to grasp, but Nelson helps you with a 40-point advantage. He's very sweet and very receptive to student concerns. Highly recommended for BSCI105! Pretty easy and such a nice guy!

Great class, he will make the class more enjoyable, since he gives hints to people who attend class and go to his review sessions. He also has a sweet deal where if you have 90 or better before the final, he will exempt you from taking the final. Hw and lab are not very difficult,and neither are his tests, but go to his class and reviews and read.

Very easy class aslong as you keep up with the readings. Easiest bsci105 teacher there is. I would definitely reccomend him as a teacher.

He is an awful teacher, his lectures are useless, my TA was awful. Whereas I studied so hard, his awful multiple choice multiple answer questions are really tricky. He focuses his tests on the randomest, smallest aspects rather than the bigger concepts that are fundamental and act as the backbone for the material. I DO NOT recommend him.

this class is kinda a joke with him. His tests are fundamentally the easiest format possible. you actually could turn in a blank test and get 60% because you get points for not picking the WRONG answers. You'll see. Anyway I went to 2 classes and the exams, (cause he teaches straight from book) except the extra credit exams which you dont need.

Nelson is a really nice guy, very friendly. He's not a bad prof, but he's really boring. Going to class isn't even necessary, because he teaches directly outside of the book. Overall, not a bad prof, but not exceptionally good either.

He is a little scattered but there is no reason why anyone should not be able to get a B or better with all the extra credit that is offered. If you just go to class, you can take up to 4 EASY pop quizes that add 10 points on to each test. Plus, he is a nice guy, and by far the best out of Lanford and O'Connor/Compton. He wants to see you do well.
