She's a pretty cool lady. If you don't read the readings, don't come to class because you will do group work every day and it's turned in for a 10 point grade. She really tries to get students into the topics even though they are boring sometimes and she grades really easy. The midterm and final are a group short answer test and an essay.

Sharon's class involves reading a lot of abstract and confusing poetry and short stories so if that's not your thing, I wouldn't recommend. Also, she doesn't put this in her syllabus, but if you are .01% below the next highest grade, she still won't give it to you.

Wonderfully lady, very easy to get along with, even though the class is a little scattered in structure. Just skim the readings, show up to class, engage in discussions, and ask for help on papers (none longer than 5 pages). No exams. No reason to not receive an A.

This class was interesting to say the least. Professor Jessee is a super nice lady, and she loves what she is teaching. However, if you don't like abstract readings that you never really get a clear understanding of don't take this class. She is hard to follow, but she is a fair grader! Overall, not too bad!

Great class!Very interesting readings I wouldn't have read on my own otherwise. Class consists of lots of reading, so be prepared for that. There are journals and essays you have to write, but they're very straight forward. Dr. Jessee is essentric, but SO nice. Do your readings and you'll be fine! She's totally understanding if you need more time.

She expects everyone to write their papers philosophically and explore deeper meanings of everything. She grades way too hard for a gen-ed class. She is very disorganized and will take points off your papers without even having a rubric. If you're looking for an easy A, do NOT take her.

I love Dr. Jessee! She picks very interesting readings for her classes. She can be a little bit unorganized but she is definitely passionate about what she teaches. She is always willing to meet outside of class and give helpful tips for papers. Grades small assignments easily but she is more picky about large papers.

She is so chill. I love it. She knows that English (especially for non-majors) is not a science and that there are different perspectives that can be brought to the table. As long as you can explain your decision making, you will fly through this class.

The class was very easy although there was a lot of reading and books to checkout. If you didn't have the reading done for that day it wasn't a big deal. Overall she was a great teacher.

Very nice professor. She lectures a lot and most of the readings (especially in the poetry unit) were a waste but she's a great professor. HARD GRADER.

This was the best English class I have ever had. Two minor group presentations and some minor in-class group work is all you do in addition to exams. The two exams given are 1/2 take home essay & 1/2 in-class short answer. One of the easiest A's I have had on campus. Overall Jessee is a great teacher and highly recommended for ENG 200.

If you don't mind reading about 12 books in a semester, take her and the rest is a breeze. Only had to write two papers which she grades really hard and then two or three in class exams, which is just more writing. Pretty easy, but she's a hard grader, so you have to participate a lot and be a great writer to get an A.

Very nice lady, a little scatter-brained, but her class was pretty interesting. She grades papers very harshly, but she lets you redo them and meet with her to figure out what needs to be fixed. Pretty easy class as long as you do the work.

No textbooks, just like 10 novels. Honestly, you don't have to read them, just the cliff notes online. She also goes over the reading assignments with the class the next day. Really nice lady, I would definitely recommend.

not many Gen. Ed english courses have interesting readings, but these are interesting and though provoking. you pick your exam questions (essay) and have to do a 2 page paper every 3 weeks. I recommend.

Coming into the class i thought it would be interesting. The work was very confusing thru the first half of the year. The class was "myth and modern legend" Not sure what that meant but i went along with the class anywho. Goto class do your group work and read the stuff and you will be fine.
