Beware this class was very difficult and when I would go ask for help she would make it even more confusing. A lot of teaching yourself in this class and the only people who did well already knew how to program. She seemed like a nice person and all but did a bad job teaching and explaining the material. Don't choose her as your professor.

Whenever you have questions, she gets mad because she expects you to know everything. I came to her because I'm there to learn. Not because I'm stupid like she makes it out to be. She also gives assignments and quizzes irrelevant to the book readings.

She is really nice and will go out of her way to help you no matter what if you see her during her office hours. She is very positive and will help her students until they do great. She believes everyone has potential to do good in her class and she will help you a lot if you ask lots of questions and seek it during her office hours.

She tries to cover too many things in a short class period, creating unnecessary confusion. Instead of actually teaching, she hands out papers with little to no explanation. The idea of the class is interesting, but the execution is terrible.

Everything said about Ms. Walters is true. Her grading is unforgiving. But, she will help you, if you have a basic understanding of what's going on. She is willing to go past midnight to help night-time students. This is her only redeemable quality. I did learn a lot as well, but this class is unnecessarily difficult.

Horrible class. She is an extremely hard grader and she isn't even an english professor. She went off on tangents in class and did not teach the material she expected us to know. Class was two hours long and yet she went over every period because she got off topic. Waste of time.

Do not take this class. She is not a fair grader at all. From the beginning she picked her favorite few students, and they were the only ones that ever received A's in the class. All the rest of us earned C's in the class, not because we were bad writers but because we didn't follow her "perfect" writing pattern.

teaches like everyone is a prodigy and going on to a comp sci major. grades in a way to find out who her "superstars" (in her own words) are. NEVER show up in her office outside of office hours. hates it when you don't know everything she thinks you should. but ok at helping when you have 90% of the main idea figured out.

Absolutely of no use to the students, other than to insult them. Goes off on tangents about things that have no relevance and blatantly ignored her co-professor. Her grading system is impossible. Refused to give anyone in the class above a C on the first assignment. Not because we didn't deserve it, but because she wanted to teach us a lesson.

She's very helpful and willing to change if there is reasonable(!) request for bending rules. Her tests are extremely challenging, but she gives a lot of partial & xtra credit. She will do everything she possibly can to help you if she sees your effort to understand the material. I would take her class again even though it wouldn't be an easy ride.
