I loved Katy's class. She is so kind and passionate about math. She lets you resubmit homework and test corrections for credit. She is very accessible for help outside of class hours. Some people didn't like her because she makes you think before she tells you the answer. That's common core these days, don't know what else to say. She was great.

Katy is one of my favorite teachers I have had at Chico State. She is so sweet and I really loved her class. I frequently came into office hours and she was always SO helpful! Go to class and ask questions and you will do well. She is one of the nicest teachers I have ever had!!!

loved this class! group seating so your talking almost the entire class. homework almost every night of the class. youre going to be talking out loud a lot in this class. she likes to randomly call on people. shes very helpful and a good teacher. Tests are challenging but fair. takes role. need book.

Katy is a very sweet lady and a great professor. She really knows math and is enthusiastic about the subject matter. A bit passive-aggressive at times, and unrealistic with her expectations on homework assignments. She's very helpful and down-to-earth outside of class. My biggest suggestion would be to take advantage of extra credit and office hrs

Katy is a good teacher who goes over course material a billion times and in a variety of ways, which makes it easy to comprehend the topics. She gives good feedback on all assignments. She answers a lot of your questions with more questions so that you eventually come up with the answer for yourself. She does a good job of teaching future teachers.

Katy Early is very nice, but as a professor her methods are a little different. She treats her students as if they are in elementary school, and she is VERY passive aggressive. She answers your questions with more questions so that you can figure things out yourself, but this isn't ever very helpful. The class isn't too difficult if you like math.

Worst teacher I've had at Chico State. Not helpful. Mean to students who don't understand the material. Very demanding. Shoukd have stuck with teaching elementary school. If you want help she just asks questions back and you never get an answer. Avoid if possible if you don't like math or aren't good at it

Professor Early has such a passion for Mathematics and teaching future teachers. She's enthusiastic and fun. We worked in groups, which allowed for creating bonds with classmates, and a lot of hands on work. She is understanding, and helpful. One of the best professors I have had. If you can, take advantage of the office hours.

This class is mandatory for Liberal Study Majors. First buy the book because you will use it in 111. If you now math well then you will have no problem in her class. If you struggle with avoid her. You must participate in class and if you do not you lose points. She takes roll! Homework twice a week, do not blow it off it will cost you.
